Great Idea... but I have some some concerns...

I really like the idea for a customizeable dungeons and dragons mmo. City of Heroes/Villains did ok with it. Everquest 2 is doing ok with it. I have two major concerns, though.

1. I really abhor Cryptic right now with their "unfinished releases" of Champions and Star Trek online. It's been one greedy money-grab for a sub-par product after another.

2. What's it going to cost to be a "dungeon master"? If I have to visit a cash shop and pay $5 for giant rats in my dungeon, $5 for orcs in my dungeon, $5 for orc shamen in my dungeon, $10 for torches and boxes in my dungeon, $10 for 10 extra corridors in my dungeon and $20 to have my dungeon "posted for public use" I'm not touching this with a 10 foot pole.

Has Cryptic learned from their mistakes? Will only "1 percenters" be able to participate in the foundry? These aren't just burning questions on gamers' minds about the title, but important to the saleability of the title. If few people will play it because "Cryptic can kiss their asses", who's going to drop money to make dungeons for the 10,000 people who play?

With my 20 years of console gaming exp and less than 5 of PC/online gaming exp, i can't say i'm an expert of the Pc gaming/online gaming genere.

What i know is that one of the things that has no limits, is Human imagination..

If it's well used, that foundry thing can be good.

    Cheers.

Oh you should be worried cryptic and perfect world international have the worst reputation when it comes to payment systems , they will skin you alive , drain you dry and shred what remains of you till they can get every single cent you have!

Lets hope they will learn from the competition as horrible as it might seem to some Turbine allows unlocking content with playing ( you get cash shop currency and content for reaching some level of something) .It is really f2p friendly allows players who are willing to spend their 15$ a month or pay with their low prices many discounts and so on . Sadly even for a p2p player they got this tidious grind of materials for one crappy item which is pure fail .

Lets just hope they will learn from both cons and pros and make the best for everyone
