Has anyone else tried out the Charr elite skill Artillery Barrage? I picked it up earlier tonight and Im pretty disappointed in it. Damage didnt look so great to begin with, figured it might be fairly useful for AoEing multiple targets though.... but it seems to just hit random areas within the target range, and usually im lucky if it even hits the same target more than once or twice out of 15 hits.
Considering it is only hitting for that much, and is on a long ass 4 minute cooldown, this seems to be one of the mor euseless Elites Ive seen yet. Anyone else feel the same?
I think they need to do at least 1 of the following:
1) boost the damage per hit, since being able to land hits is so random
2) boost the raidus of the explosions so that it has a better chance of hitting targets more consistently
3) reduce the cooldown down to 1-2 minutes max instead of waiting 4 minutes just to watch it do practically nothing unless you get really lucky.
Wow... after posting this I went back in game, tried it again against a stationary target, a Longhorn Sheep. Centered the AoE on the sheep... 15 shots and not a single one even touched him. Still sitting there yellow to me.

No, but most of my elite skills as a human elementalist are a bit "meh" as well, especially the racial ones.
That doesn't take away from the one I do like (yeah, it's actually just one), but I would have liked to see them be a bit more useful.
Glyph of elementals is basically the only one I use actively, the rest I just sometimes use for vanity's sake, the racial ones in particular seem to be lacking, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same was true for Charr.
- Fiery Greatsword: looks cool, decent damage, but gets you killed in melee range and makes it so you can't use your regular skills, doesn't last too long either.
- Tornado: lots of damage, annoys people, but you still drop like a sack of shit after using it. Definitely nerfed down from its formerly overpowered state in the beta.
- Reaper of Grenth: ... bleh
- Avatar of Melandru: sometimes useful for its entangle, but that's pretty much it, bit too situational for its long cooldown imo.
- Hounds of Balthazar: don't have it yet, but some dudes used it against me in WvW and it really didn't seem to make much of a difference.
- Glyph of elementals: most useful, ice elemental has great healing, earth elemental is great for soloing strong mobs, fire elemental does good damage, air elemental is least useful because it doesn't seem to actually stun that much, even though it is supposed to.

I was pretty disappointed by the Asura golem suit (whatever it is called). Going to try out the first Golem with my next point.
The Mist Wolf thing I got with the Digital Deluxe was pretty awesome though.
