So it seem the lack of full respect bother some people, has for me i could care less in fact illimited full respec would be an horrible things for me. It would simply destroy the need to take some important decisions when building your character.
But well i can agree that for some having to re-roll because they screwed the character really bad, can sucks. So here the idea, Runics could implents some potion or scroll wich can be use to full respec, of course these things should be a rare drop. So this way everyone could be happy.
What do you think?

I think the first mod that comes out with the mod tools will be a respec potion. That was the first mod that came out with the TL1 mod tools.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Cool we will see then. Maibe on runics forum there is more info about this.
There's already a Shared Stash mod, and a pak mod that changes the stores to sell respec potions. Also discussion on the forums from one player that plans on making a mod that allows the town fishing pool to give respec potions.
So plenty of ways to get them, for the most part these do not flag your character.
The respec potions are already in the game. You just can't get to them without using the console. There's a easy to install mod thingy that someone made which fills your shared stash with respec potions which works perfectly, I've used it. You don't get flagged as a cheater for using it.
NOTE: You will lose anything that is already in your shared stash if you use this so empty it first.

Shared stash mod? There is already a shared stash without the mod. What the points of this one? Not really sure to understand this one.
For the pak mod, im not sure i like the idea of store who sell respec potions, unless there are very rare to come buy. If there are common what the points, might has well give you the option of respec without the potion.
you can easily just back up your shared stash first, and after using the mod( moving the shared stash stuff over to your private stash), then place your orignal back and still have all your stuff.
Basically the Shared Stash mod isn't really a mod, it's just a copy of someone's sharedstash.bin file that you put in your runic games save directory.
The mod replaces the shared stash inventory with one that is filled with respec potions. It doesn't create another shared stash.
I've used it. It comes in real handy.

I found it easier to pull everything out then replace the stash. Then I put everything back in and now everything is available to all my toons.

I would guess that depends on how much stuff you keep in shared stash, as there are several versions of shared stash mods. Which if you use more than one, you couldn't really do that.
mm well, i will not use this mod, it's exactly what i dont like and it destroy the purpose of decision. I dont see the real difference between that and using the console since im sure there is a mod to remove the flags.
The idea i had was more an official way by runics to implent rare potions with a patch and not just some cheat mods.
O well it seem we cant have the good of both world.
The point is that the official mod tools aren't out yet, so they have to find ways like giving people a shared stash of the potion. Once the mod tools are out, we can see things like the potion being tied to a challenging map, loot tables, quest (chains), etc.
In the end, with a (soon to be) moddable game like this, it's up to each user to determine their difficulty and how they want to play. Made a serious fuck-up because you didn't understand mechanics and you're paying the price in your NG++? You can always reroll, or just mod a respec potion if you don't want to put in the time.
Not like it will matter, anyway. Why the fuck do I care what someone else does as long as it doesn't effect me (stop spawning level 100 mobs on me please!)
I agree with you, i dont use mod who change mechanics of the game, i will only use mod who give me some new adventures or dungeon etc.
I could care less either if people cheats or use mod to make the game easy. It's just that i see more and more people crying because the screw there character and there is no full respec. Si i merly point out and idea so they we can have an official compromise without destroying the game has it is.
ludicrous notion...since the whole concept of respeccing is a cheat in itself....
It's a cheat only if you use un-official mods, like i said before if the potion where implent bu runics and only has a rare drop that would be cool for those who want it, this way everyone his be happy.
I thought I read they were patching that to make anyone that drinks a respec potion flagged.
The mod would need some other mechanism if that happens.
Actually, no. Drinking the Respec Potion does *not* flag you, and has been tested and proven by several people on the Runic forums.
Also important to note: There are already mods compatible with 1.12 on TL2 that allow you to buy Respec Potions from vendors for a miniscule amount of gold, and on top of this, they don't flag your character. The character remainds safe from flagging due to the fact that buying items from a vendor is considered completely legit for the system.
