What are your top 10 favorite MMO's of all time?  heres mine:

    apathetic to everything else.  gw2, eq2,  etc.   not worth ranking.

    Looking forward to putting darkfall on the top hopefully.

    I already see the flaw in this since people have not all played enough MMO's to really give the best list but hey ill bite.

    Champions (needed a spot filler for something i actually enjoyed for a little)

    1 Mabinogi

    2 Ultima Online

    3 RuneScape

    4 Final Fantasy XI

    5 EVE

    6 Anarchy Online

    7 The Secret World

    8 Star Wars the Old Republic

    9 Final Fantasy XIV

    10 World of Warcraft

    Could play any of these games without issue, I'm constantly going back and forth between them. I missed out on some games I wanted to play, like SWG, so my list is only counting those I've experienced (though I'm sure SWG would've been on here if I had the chance).

    GW2 for me hands down.

    Though really interested to see WildStar, Firefall and Neverwinter. They definately have the best chances of being in my fav mmo list <3

    Looking forward to EQL and EQN.

    Here is my top five and completely subjective to my own experiences:
     
    1. EVE (only real MMO, imo)
    2. Vanilla + pre-nerf TBC
    3. Anarchy Online (pre-Shadowlands)
    4. Ultima Online
    5. SWTOR (although MMO elements were lacking, the first playthrough was a solid experience)

    I don't know if I ever actually really enjoyed 10 MMOs.

    In some cases it was more about the things they were doing with the game rather than how much I  enjoyed playing the game itself.

    I won't list more recent games I still play as I consider them to be something I enjoy more subjectively than love for what they are/were.

    I could rate some more but they are pretty much the same as in I played for a very short amount of time and left them alone. These are the only 5 I have put any amount of time into and the only ones worth mentioning.

    3: SWG (honestly would have been up higher...but SOE managed to burn it to the ground not long after I got into it)

    4: EQOA (First MMO, and had some good times with good people.  AS an MMO...it would actually rank lower, if at all)

    5: Flyff (Have no idea why, the wife and I loved it and I went out with a bang...handing out 10 million of whatever its currency was to each player I saw in the noob zone)

    6: DDO

    7: Perfect World (One of the better F2P I'd seen at the time)

    8: Fallen Earth (Solid game, fun, free)

    9: Atlantica (For being good, free, and something different that actually worked)

    10:  DOMO

     

    DOMO was actually a surprise for me.  Its was unique, its multiclassing was well done, its combat was fun, and I just liked leveling in it.

    Can't get past 3. Currently playing RIFT and enjoying it, but too early to add it to the list. GW2 is good, but not good enough for me to drop on this list either...

    Interesting what every one is saying;

    By best, I will sort my list by innovation that succeeded (After all, isn't that what we're all really after in the genre?)

    7. As much as I would like not to, Vanilla WOW

    10. And last, certaintly not least, currently played, and IMHO on its way to greatness - Planetside 2.
