For me:
1. Lotro - enjoying the warbands - I just want the horse customisations
2. Darkfall - just playing a little in prep for DFUW - still enjoy the overall tension of knowing at any second someone could kick your ass
3. GW2 - mainly because of friends in the game - I like doing the daily heroics - the dragon fights are ok - I'll be playing this on and off for years so no great rush
=========
Please keep this light and just explain what you like in the games you currently play.
cheers
Playing: Darkfall New Dawn (and planning to play Fallout 76)
Favourite games have included: UO, Lineage2, Darkfall, Lotro, Baldur's Gate, SSX, FF7 and yes the original Wizardry on an Apple IIe
Comments
1) D3 - combat is super fun ... lots of skills to customize .. and you actually customize skills, instead of putting a point here and there.
2) Dishonored - great setting, fun powers, you can play stealth or action
3) Borderlands 2 - guns and lots of guns ...
4) Marvel Heroes - hopefully soon .. action RPG combat ... actual playable Marvel characters ... essentially Marvel Ultimate Alliance online with more content.
Guild Wars 2 - For me the best MMORPG i´ve played in many many years.
Torchlight II - my "relaxing" game...pure adrenaline rush! Killing spree!!!!!
Rift Storm Legion Beta - Well...just trying it out...looks great!
Playing the following while waiting for Darkfall,UW...
SWTOR: The personal Story. Instead of quest hubs---- Your literally going to save a planet and after youve done so its feels good. Plus Lightsabers kick arse! Warzones are fun. Played when it first came out but revisting and getting my character to cap this time around.
Rift: Because best instanced housing ever is supposibly coming. And I like the Survival skill.
PS2 - "nuff said.
Oh, and lots of XCOM:EU and Xenonauts as well. The games just keep sucking me in.
Battlefield 3 - because battlefield!
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - BECAUE BATTLEFIELD!!
WoW: MoP - comfortable familiarity with just enough new stuff to piss me off by making me learn to love it all over again. Like a new season of a good show after they kill off a main character.
Right now, GW2 takes all of my gaming time. I play it because I think it's the best video game I've ever played. Most recently, besides GW2, I've been mixing it up between Skyrim, Batman AC (both on PS3), LotRO, Civ IV and a third run through KOTOR 2 on my PC.
But now, between GW2, Fantasy Football and real life, I'm pretty much tapped out for time.
You want me to pay to play a game I already paid for???
Be afraid.....The dragons are HERE!
GW2 because I bought it already and there's no sub. While I enjoy the atmosphere and skillwheel of the Secret World far more it's just not worth a subscription to me.
Played: EQ1 (10 Years), Guild Wars, Rift, TERA
Tried: EQ2, Vanguard, Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Runes of Magic and countless others...
Currently Playing: GW2

GW2. I still MY TERA account active as well. Most likely about to turn it off...
If for some reason I grow bored with GW 2 I might end up trying RIFT again.
I play Rift because the devs give me my moneys worth every month.
I'm a unique and beautiful snowflake.

Mine is a case of why aren't you playing what you recently purchased:
1) LOTRO - I used my lifer points to buy ROR. My character is still in the Great River since I only play once a year when the expansions release. The Great River is horrendously boring and I'm in no rush to reach the level cap and end my yearly playing of LOTRO.
2) GW2 - I like the trinity - I don't like the wait. I don't like GW2 dungeon system and find WvWvW to be horrrible. It's nowhere near as fun as FPS games and has no real rewards.
3) Torchlight 2 - extremely shallow game. After about 60 hours I've played as much as I care to.
What I expect to play in the near future is: D3 when they fix a few more things and SWTOR F2P to level some alts.
Lotro - Mounted combat and music. Kind of like Hytbold too, just wish I wasn't limited to 5 dailies per day to rebuild it.
GW2 - Waiting on content, but combat is fun. Game needs progression systems though
WoW - Always a fun leveling game and great music. Needs more depth too.
Rift - Like having tons of builds and multiple roles on one character, biding my time until expansion hits, and it's going to be a blast!
Playing Asheron's Call.
It's the only game, to me, that has an awesomely diverse character creation, and completely open world to explore that I cannot find any where else save maybe UO. Couple that with zero hand holding, make your own way in the world and I keep coming back.
Honorary mention to Rift as I still dabble in that from time to time as well. I stayed subscribed just to support a quality devloper like Trion as well.
Einherjar_LC says: WTB the true successor to UO or Asheron's Call pst!
League of Legends: Mainly just because all MMORPG's PvP is nothing but lobby games anymore anyways, and they're nowhere near as fun or easy to get into with friend's as LoL's PvP for me.
WoT - Like poster above said, MMO pvp is just a lobby game (and I agree).
Torchlight 2 - To get away from fail teams in WoT once a while.
LOTRO because its just a beautiful game.
Back in 2007 when I first played Shadows of Angmar I fell in love with it so much I played it despite my RL friends playing on WoW and trying to get me to return. Eventually I did go back to WoW but I quit and resubbed many times often thinking about LOTRO and how much of a fantastic game it is.
It is the only game besides WoW that I payed subscription for, all the other MMO's I bought I never went past the free month because they didn't hold my interest.
What I love about LOTRO is:
- The world. From the Shire to Bree Land and from Weather top to Rivendell. It was all stunning the first time I saw these locations and It always felt great to see the locations from the lore like the ford of Rivendell and the stone trolls in the Trollshaws. Many none LOTR fans may not think these locations are very impressive graphically or architecturally but there is this feeling about them. Riding into Rivendell or seeing the Gates of Moria was a much more epic feeling than any floating city in WoW or Aion or whatever other flashy cities and buildings there are in MMO's. With LOTRO you recognise the significance. They are like landmarks to the fantasy genre.
- The lore. Like the above it has great significance in the fantasy domain and its great to experience it and be part of the adventure.
- The combat. Many would argue that its slow, sluggish and clunky. I wouldn't blame you for thinking it. I've recently played GW2 and the combat was fluid and fantastic, but I felt like I was button mashing, when compared to LOTRO. Its slower combat but I believe it is more strategic, you think about your moves more and combat lasts that little bit longer but its rewarding.
- The classes. When I say classes I really just mean one class. Loremaster. There is something about this class that I find so enjoyable to the extent that It has the potential to be my favourite class of any MMO. Another interesting class is the Minstrel, as they heal through music and have a wide variety of musical instruments. Minstrels can also teach other classes how to play musical instruments in a none combat way purely for social value, which brings me to the next point.
- Music system. This is so much fun, you have a wide variety of instruments to use and there are many sources on the internet for songs to pop into the LOTRO folder to auto play when you're socialising in game. The roleplay potential for this is almost limitless and there are often concerts held in Middle Earth.
- Character customisation. A full cosmetic system to wear over your combat armour is a fantastic feature that I am honestly surprised one idea thieving company hasn't picked up on yet (yes Blizzard I am looking at you), it really does make it so much more appealing to play your character when you don't have to run around in that dungeon gear you just equipped that doesn't look as impressive as its stats.
- Player housing. I have had so much fun with this. Do I want a hobbit hole in the farthings of the Shire? A house in Bree Land? A beautiful Elvish house in Ered Luin or a Dwarven retreat? The ability to go and view certain properties is a plus and there is a choice between standard and deluxe. The furniture choices aren't great though but what I really like about houses is their ability to act as trophy rooms to show your acomplishments. Certain bosses in the game drop items that can be placed in your home. These can be momentos like their armour or their weapons, but its always a nice little reminder of what you (or your Kin) accomplished. Player housing is something a lot more MMO's could use and I'm surprised other games besides Rift haven't quite cottoned on to yet (I am still looking at you Blizzard).
- Community! Finally its the people. You do meet the odd rude person but I've generally only ever encountered friendly, helpful and intelligent players in this game and its always what I miss most if I ever return to WoW. LOTRO's community seems to be one of a kind and is not something I have been able to find anywhere else.
I've only just started playing again and having never made it through Moria, I'm hoping to manage it this time on a fresh character on a fresh server and see the tower of Orthanc, Lothlorien and cross the Riddermark. LOTRO is a game I am certain will keep getting better, RoR is supposed to be a fantastic expansion and with the potential for great gameplay in Helms Deep and beyond I can only feel optimism for this game, despite how much I may hate its cash shop and wish it could have remained a subscription based game!
LotRO
Because the immersion factor draws me back from time to time, and the community and other aspects are excellent.
Diablo 3. Love these new changes. Still a blast to run around punching skeletons out of corpses and splattering little Imps to dust with a little assortment of skills.
Bought Torchlight 1 thinking I would play the series, but ended up just patching D3, and been playing that instead.
Rift...
...because there is tons of new content coming next month and I feel it's the best themepark out there at the moment.
