    What are your specs?

I believe the usual requirement these days are 1 ghz or 1.5 ghz, 256 ram and a sufficient gpu - probably from GF 3 era and up

    Explorer 73%
    Socializer 66%
    Achiever 33%
    Killer 26%

i unfortunetly cant agree with you bamzen, 1.5ghz cpu and 512mb ram plus gf4 ti or gf fx (middle, or high end) is min for now in all those new games, look at requirements of everquest: recommended is 2ghz cpu 1ghz ram AND geforce fx 5600 128mb ram or similar, so this is rather powefull pc to play a game, i dont really recommend to play on minimum configuration even with shuted down all eye candy... recomended comp spec is usually not with all eye candy turned on to go well (fps)...

Well, I've been following this game for a year now, but really active in which I can tell some of you haven't. There's lots of information, in fact, when in dev chat once a month, or some noob people ask noob questions or we simply ask questions about details because main gameplay is documented to a point that it would totally spoil the game if they told us more.

Calistas is a major reason why a lot of people are still interested in the game after so much delaying. Indeed, they've had their problems, but according to some people I know who are in beta, it's going great. The Clan system is buzzing even when the game is not out yet, I know because I'm in the most active one, this one WILL be a hit when it comes out.

And really, click that link to the page and you'll learn a lot more information about it...

  • Closed Beta 1.0 will start around May 15th, I was lucky enough to get a spot on this phase of the beta.  I imagine we should see a release by the end of this year.  I'll post my impressions once I start the beta.

Like someone else said.. while great games such as EQ2 are being designed specially for Player vs Environment, this game is more PVP centric, while still allowing you to PVE.

It has nice graphics and if everything goes as codemasters has said.. we will have in our hands  a winner...

The only competition I see in the near future for this game is Dark And Light..

meep, actually, beta1 will be around june/july if we're in luck. Release is planned for winter 2004 now, but I'm afraid they won't make that as they planned to launch beta1 after E3, or even before, dunno anymore...it's going to rock, but it will definately go in the books as the one we waited longest for.

Meanwhile, I have exams and I hope after it, beta1 is released and if I don't make it I will be joining my clan of who a lot are playing CoH right now.

It's funny, my 5 most anticipated, also happens to reflect the same way on the site hype-meter.  I truly feel, that this game stands strong in my book for all of the added depth.  City stuff is what I mean.  Hopefully, there will be people who get a patriotism from staying in there city.  The wars for cities would truly be epic.

You can call it luck if you want, but i prefer waiting till the game goes gold and see it through fresh eyes. Beta is tedious, and can sap the fun element right out of a good game.
