Looking for advice part II

Ok, been doing some reading on darkfall, and there must be a hesitation in my mind for AoC because I have not subbed.  So I am an old gamer, I like PVP and challenges. My major problem with games today is that they are too easy.  I am fed up with LOTRO.  I loved Shadowbane and if it still existed would sub in a heartbeat. I have playe EQ, EQ1, Asheron's Call, CoV, Lotro, EVE, Rift, WoW, GW1, AoC, Shadowbane and some games I cannot remember - am old, so What is good to sub out there? Something that is cahllenging, hopefully some  pvp - not arena style for me it's either full loot pvp or pve - arena is not it for me. I would go back to EVE but I got locked into doing 2 accounts - 1 mining and 1 transporting and I don't think I want to do that but then I would be wasting those toons.  So please give me some ideas. note f2p is not an option cause I hate it so.

last note: GW2 is too expensive, cannot afford that much  in 1 shot right now.

Currently bored with MMO's.

The repopulation and Archeage are coming out, but no set time. These are open ended games with lots of content and pvp.

Games out now just dont cut it, all kiddie games compared to us old gamers and what we started out on for mmo's.

Darkfall sounds ok for the pvp aspect, i enjoy pvp. But i want more out of a game than just a fighter mmo. Darkfall just doesnt appeal to me as anything more than that.

AOC is better of the two games you spoke of due to the fact there is more than just pvp. I dont want limitations on a game that im paying for and want to enjoy the full aspect of a true mmo. Just dont see that happening in Darkfall.

Why i gave up on mmo's and waiting for archeage and the repopulation, only 2 good games with all the bells and whistles on the horizon that i see.

Vanguard may be to your liking if you can stomache the older graphics, but you will be kept content until a new game comes along. There are a few others out there, but if you are like me (an older gamer that enjoys a good epic mmo with all the features) not so many are out, but a few are coming.
