Crickets, oh how I loathe you

Apparently I'm a moron, I keep getting my butt handed to me by crickets!  I got my yellow bile up to ten and my red bar (health) up to 16 but I still get ko'd by those lil' bastages.  

 

Don't get me wrong, I really am enjoying the game, it would be nice to be able to kill a cricket or 11 to craft an inspiration to sell for some coin is all..

 

Any advice?

    dont hunt crickets without learning stomp.. as stomp does an AOE 5second stun on anything you are fighting (use it with caution as you can wind up hitting multiple targets.....fun times)

    may need to boost your YB up as well, im sitting around 10+ my self and still have the old fail fighting rabbits and crickets.

    If you have pugilism skill , using uppercut you shud have no problem killing either , just dont chase them and you'll be fine,. also go into defensive stance before u engage
