Guild Wars 2 transformed in a cash cow...:(

Hello all,

 

Its a pitty that Guild Wars 2, since 15th November 2012, was transformed in a cash cow by ArenaNet.

They ninja reduced the in-game items/materials drop rates without telling the players and artificially increased the gems value they sell at game shop so people make less gold from drops and are forced to buy gems with real money to trade for the in-game gold they need.

If you dont mind to be a wallet warior, this is an average game for you.

If you like to play without wasting real money and using all the in-game market economy, then you loose your time with Guild Wars 2.

    What are you talking about? Since fractals came, im making more money than ever. I can make 20-30gold per day if i want to. Is this guy serious?

    Sorry, but you're making something out of nothing.  Sound like RNG being RNG.  Maybe you should just stay over there on those forums because you're not going to get any love for your "theories" here.

    Do you even know what the gem price works?

    If too few people buy gems with real money, and too many buy with ingame gold, price will go up. Supply and demand. Arenanet doesn't increase the game price. Gem prices went up recently because it's almost Wintersday and many people buy gems.

    You need to study the real system behind the gem shop. The system is not a real supply and demand system.

    From that graph, it looks like the amount of gold that is equivalent to a given amount of gems has gone up.  As the price of gems in US$ is fixed, that means that 1 gold is worth less than it was before.  Such inflation almost invariably means that gold is easier to obtain than it was before, which is the opposite of your complaint.

    No. Gold is harder to obtain. Go read GW2 official forums. The gems gold value has been artificially increased by ArenaNet.

    I agree with you but ArenaNet just transformed GW2 in a cash cow, they are milking it desperatly while they can.

    Well then, did ArenaNet add some critical new stuff that you need gems to purchase?  That could cause a sudden spike, but I wouldn't expect it to cause a slow, long-term trend.

    The problem is that you're making claims and offering data, and the data not only fail to support your claims, but actively contradict them.
