"State of the Game" 5.12.2012

Doesn't actually say all that much, and appears to be PR-speak for "This game's Western release is currently in Development Hell."

Here's hoping the comment about gameplay styles doesn't mean the NA / EU release will be a "rush through story / to max level in 2 weeks then grind dungeons or PvP arenas until bored" number. For all I'm keeping an occasional eye on this game there is enough to be wary of already.

I wouldnt actually mind the game being like that. Since I'm a super fan to the art style of this game, I'd probably just play pvp and enjoy the jiggly game engine lol.

Not a big PvP'er personally, but as someone who actually likes the East Asian fantasy-art style when it's in the right context, I'd similarly probably buy it anyway, play through the story and mess around with some alts for a bit, then go back to TSW or maybe even GW2, heh.

Really looking foward to this game but I know its not the type of mmo thats built for long term gameplay. Waiting on ArcheAge for that.

Come on. I think you already know that is exactly what this is going to be like. Also it's NCSoft and well, they aren't doing so well at the moment in the MMO department.

You couldnt be more wrong saying that: Blade & Soul is HUGE in Asia already and GW2 is nothing to laugh at either.

In the western market they seem to have given themselves a black eye by repeatedly shuttering games.
