Resident Evil 6 PS3 - stuck at the very beginning. Help if you can, please!

I tried googling it, and I registered on the official site to ask this on their forum, but for some reason clicking "New Thread" on there did absolutely nothing.

I'm in what I assume is the tutorial area with Leon helping Helena get around after they had just gotten blown up and the helicopter was firing at them, then fall down and Leon goes to help Helena up, and it shows him taking her hand, then a little icon with one person helping another up, with an exclamation mark above them, and a glowing O button to the right of them.

So, I'm here pressing the O button and nothing is happening. I tried tapping it once, tapping it multiple times fast, holding it, and nothing happens.

I've tried restarting the game, but I can't seem to figure this out. Either the game is bugged, or I'm missing something that shouldn't even be possible to miss. lol

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Ugh, nevermind. I just tried to do something else in which the O was useful, and apparently my controller's O button just decided to stop working randomly. Just gonna have to get a new one.
