I'd love to see a sequel to Crash Bandicoot and Shenmue. Not even quite sure why they don't consider another Shenmue, its bound to make money what witht the demand.

No question, for me it's definitely DAOC. And if CSE's recent teaser is any indication, then DAOC 2 could be a real possibility. Even if it has to go by a different name (I'm not sure about the legal stuff and who actually owns the DAOC name)

Shenmue was a financial failure. Of course, that's not because it was a bad game, but financial failures rarely get sequels.

I'd like to see another Age of Wonders game. Shadow Magic is still the best game of its kind and that's pretty sad considering its age. The dev studio is still intact, too. I'm not a big fan of sequels of old classics, however. Usually they just spoil everything.

Also a real Devil May Cry sequel.

I would absolutely love DAOC 2, but not if they call it daoc2 and make it a wow clone. I was hoping GW2 would be more like the original without the linear zones instead of WoW v.26.8.

I was pondering that too, whether it would be inevitable or not .. it still may not be though, since Valve's earlier hits, like HL2, helped to promote Steam, and Steam makes such incredible amounts of revenue that I sometimes wonder if they will even bother with HL3 .. can hope still though.

 

HL3 could be seen as an investment to send out more installations of Steam for new customers.  That might be a good financial argument for it's development.

I would love a Too Human sequel but since the courts ordered all unsold copies of the original destroyed and all source code deleted as well as monetary compensation from the dev, I really, really think it's dead, Jim.

EQ with all the machocists mechanics, a different starting city for each race, factions, can't just run to any city and be safe, hell levels, death penalty, corpse runs.  loved it, so addicting.

I wish Quake or Unreal Tournament made a comeback and actually be popular again.

I miss those games, so much pure skill.

But forums would be flooded by QQers pointing at their 0/-5 KD and proclaiming the games are bad. I miss the internet without forums...

Definately 'City of Heroes 2'.

I'd also try 'Star Wars Galaxies 2' or a 'Battlestar Galactica' based on the original series if it had a mixture of ground combat as well as space combat. I don't see that happening, but one can dream.
