In uo, a house, depending on size, can hold anywhere from 500 to several thousand items ( astack of of most materials/consumables counts as 1 item). There is also a relatively freeform placement of items so players get creative when putting things together in their bags, on their vendors or in player owned structures.

Wow so in UO items were truly player made in every way? Didn't that require coding like Second Life?
