I played the -very bad- launch and quit not long after....
Knowing SOE's past management of MMO's I am cautious about trying this game.
If it has a future, np......but with SOE I am not surprised that I download this MMO, get myself settled and active+leveling and then getting a mail with 'we're sorry, this game is coming to an end at blablabla'.

VG is simple to figure out. If you like old school expansive dungeon crawls, epic type questing where you stay in a dungeon area for several nights of gameplay and a game where group based content is the best the game has to offer... then try VG.
In all seriousness, the dungeons are remarkable compared to what is being released in the MMO space today.
If you want to level to 55 solo and play mostly solo there are better choices out there. VG is a group game first and a solo/craft/diplo in your downtime type of game.
