That is right, comparing something that really hurts kids with animations is unfair to real kids. Some asians may like m-rated games, some may not just as non-asians may like it and others not. That fine. Regardless it is still artwork with an older audience rating created by artists. No real persons are hurt or harm in the creation of video-games. Just as a zombie-movie harms no real persons or a mature-book harms no living and breathing persons.
Find it most hypocritical that video-games are easily censored when meant for an older audiences but at same real kids are allowed to R-rated movies that are full with scenes of gore violence and or sex that are not meant for younger audiences. Link below.
Censoring video-games will not deterrent or stop any of the growing and problematic real-life teen-sex and pregnancies from happening which has gone on for ages regardless of the creation of games or not. That is more a parental issue.
Nor does censoring things will do anything to prevent or punish those who commit real-life crimes against real people. A mature audience can expect more to a decent and working quality game than just initial themes(combat,storyline, character development, environment, music ect these are in combination to make a game memorable or a ill-begotten flop) but also it is expected for a M-rated game to be mature in it's fullness and not scaled back in content. I have no issue of mesh skin or other themes in older-rated games and up.
I do not take video-games seriously because I know that they are fake and voluntary to play with the most unrealistic environments and characters to boot. However when censorship comes along as justification is when the real-world is forced into the non-real and fake game-world. Either the games are real, or they are not. Either they are fake, or they are not. When issue of censorship comes it is blaming and says yes, the games are real and playing these games are no good regardless of the rating assigned to them or not.
