About the page:
- Maybe have the Donate button on both the top and bottom
- Text would look better in a sans-serif font like Arial. (imho)
- Picture of your friends dog only makes sense after reading the text.
- Maybe move the dog's picture to the bottom, or put text caption on the picture?
- Maybe have dog's name with picture? Have dog's name somewhere anyway.

- Most people who'd be willing to donate are people who personally know either you or your friend in real life. (Since someone who's never met you or your friend IRL has no way of knowing that the story is real and not made up) Your best bet is to also use facebook so that his friends and "friends of friends" can help, since they know he's a real person. Also, to them it won't matter if your donate page is awesome or awful.
