Fishing game withdrawals

This is going to be one of those half "LFGame" half "wish there were" kinda threads.

So I'm currently playing games that don't have fishing because 1 is a space game and won't have that sortof thing in a space game the other is rather new and doesn't have that sortof thing built into the game just yet.

So I've played all sorts of mmo's and loved the fishing in a few games. I am looking for a game that combines many elements from many mmo's together into one game. It would be nice if this exists but I somehow doubt it does.

I would like a game that combines the fishing elements I've experienced from LOTRO, WoW, Rift, TL II.

Now let me explain what I liked in each.

In LOTRO I liked the beautiful scenery because at the time they had the best environmental graphics on the market everything looked real, I also enjoyed trophies for the home.

In WoW I loved finding fish in the weirdest of places, I liked having props to put up as well as make shift costumes (like the red plaid shirt overalls and boots) I liked having lures and a place to stash the fishing related items I would receive and I liked the tournaments.

In Rift, I liked the props and the water and basically some of the things I liked in WoW I found in Rift but can't really justify paying a monthly fee if I'm only going to play to fish. 

And In TL II I loved how you could find bloated fish with items inside sometimes very valuable items like gems and such and i liked how this fish when fed to the pets would change them.

So there you go folks. Anyone know a game that combines these features?

    You really like your fishing games huh? Haha

    I tried LOTRO because I'm a serious Tolkien nut. Have the action figures at home and some cards to boot. Loved playing as a Guardian in game due to the tankiness of the character.

    In terms of fishing, you reminded me of the old Breath of Fire 3 game back in the Playstation. I was somewhat addicted with that too and kept trying to clear each map and selling em to the old Manillo. Good times!

    The only two games I ever fished in was WoW and SWG. I enjoyed WoW the better of the two, but I could run a macro for SWG and just fish all day with out having to do anything.

    The times I enjoy fishing ingame is just to drink beer while in TS with my buddys and I dont really feel like gaming, just rather chat with my clanmates and get a buzz. But yea, I suppose I'll be mudcrabbing in TESO if they aint got no fish'en.

    I can't say if it will have all those features (and honestly I think it's unlikely you'll find one that combines all of that) but FFXIV:ARR has a solid and in-depth fishing system, and it's not just a side thing either you can make it your main class if you like. I'd definitely suggest checking it out at the relaunch.

    Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes MMO fishing.  It's an easy chill entertainment when I'm sick and don't feel like being productive IRL or in game.

    Mudcrabs, those foul creatures.  I avoid them whenever possible.  They do have tasty meat though.

    Nope, can't say I do.  I don't think I ever found him in my own exploring.

    I enjoyed fishing in Wow, Was very relaxing and profitable. Savory delights brought in a good amount back in the day.
