So something that has annoyed me in most of the recent MMO's is their maps and base layout, i always feel thats there's not enough thought into where players will go and fight, my prime example of this is guild wars 2, anybody who played borderlands maps will know that the zergs just like zerging back and forth each day between the southern towers, with spawnpoints right near each even if a tower is taken, the fight doesn't change that much. even in warhammer i felt that each empire having only 1 spawn and limited options for land to take greatly limited what sort of battles you would have. I cant remember how often in dragonwake we would take the eastern keep then push the destro zerg back to their warcamp where they would reach critical mass again and we would tactical retreat back to the keep where we would wait to magnet and aoe bomb them again. fighting the same way over the same terrain gets boring after awhile.
This however is something i never felt in Planetside 1, this is their map layout with the links between each map shown.
I loved than the battles in Planetside 1 flowed, you could push an enemy right off a map and then push them to the next one, and they wernt tiny postage stamp maps like in WAR either. I think its good that camelot unchained is 3 faction, but i think its good if you can kick an empire of a map and then have a 2 way on that specific map, it just adds alot more flavour and variety to the combat.
