I need a fresh start and help

I have been playing eq for 14 years and i  am board. i see  500 new games  out today. some i have tried ( Aion, Rift, DDO, EQ2,SWTOR and a few FPS like  BF and ghost recon online) there are a few more that i messed around with but  did not add any real play time. so the help i am asking for is suggestions on something that hot ( a game with people and it does not need to be new) the people or guild/ clans are a little understanding to a  noob ( i don't  want hand outs ) something that if need be i can  solo in. the  cance to raid one day or just the chance to start something new with people who are not elitest asshats.

    If you like EQ but are burnt out on it, you could try a different type of game for awhile to break up the sameness:

    • Path of Exile (free, Diablo 2-esque)
    • League of Legends (free, MOBA, but the community isn't terribly noob-friendly)
    • The Secret World (buy to play with no sub, still themepark-y, but with some sandboxy twists)
    You didn't mention WoW in your post... A lot of people like to hate on it, especially here, but it's got more features and content than most games and is definitely worth a look.
