So I was wrong, But then FUNCOM unwronged me.. Separate FunCom points special offer.

So there was a discussion in the forums that someone was not happy about that they could not enter Khitai to do some of the Raids and Crafting stuff there without signing up for a subscription. I claimed that it was enough that you had bought something from FunCom at one point so that you would have some FUNCOM points to spend on that... But as other people pointed out I was wrong, you could not get hold of seperate FUNCOM points without signing up for subscription... Which leads me to the point of this thread. I saw a special offer announcement over in FUNCOMs forums yesterday. They are now for 1 week selling loose FUNCOM points exclusively without any subscription or anything else tied to it.. Which means you can get some points if you are a F2P. Could be usefull if you wanted to throw some points on some content just to get the goodies out of those areas without really signing up as a Premium member;)

Some things aren't correct in it, so I'd like to fix them if you don't mind

Khitai isn't accessible unsubscribed, that's correct. The rest is not. You can buy and spend FC points as f2p of course, that's the whole point of an f2p model, to take the money of the f2p newcomers via an another route if not subscription

That sale is not exclusively for f2p'ers, it's for everyone. That huge "FREE" is not meaning the member status, it's for the free bonus points which is indeed a first. A lot of games have regular sales (Turbine in every ~8-10 weeks, PWE and SOE even more often), where they give extra points if you purchase a bigger amount. FC so far didn't had such sale.

Bonus points are no novelty either, it's in there since TSW - even had some uproar about it because of the expiration. In other games if you're a lifer and leave for a year, you'll have lots of points when you go back. In TSW your points will expire after six months. With that sale you got those kind of bonus points on top of your original purchase, so you can't keep them for some bigger expansion pack or something, you should spend them before they expire

 Red part is wrong, partially... Everyone, no matter if you bought the expansion or not, F2P can enter the "Gateway to Kithai" region, going from lvl 20-40.

Only the additional lvl 80 zones are premium, everything below is part of the F2P deal. After Tortage you can travel around Cimmeria, Kitahi, Stygia and Aquilonia and do quests as you like.

You know there are four different countries to level until endgame without regional restrictions? You can add the Savage Coast of Turan DLC, there are some extra lvl 50-55 adventure regions included.

That´s the amazing thing you could have 4 character origins and either travel around levelling in every country, or stick with one country for each character. Hyboria is EPIC in size. Probably the biggest MMO world after WoW.

But to the red sentence, I think it's correct. With your statement correct as well, everybody can access the Gateway to Khitai. But as the name says, it's only the gateway to it Khitai is beyond the Wall, and even if you bought the RotG, you cannot go there unsubscribed.

You are missing the point Po_gg... The offer I linked in is sort of meeehhh, for people like me that already are premium in the game. But it makes sense if you are F2P. If you have a few FUNCOM points on your F2P account you could throw that on anything you like in the show.. Wether that be Khitai for a month just to fetch out some of the goodies in that region, or if you want some ingame exclusives.... That's why I said that this deal looks particularly good for Low budget guys on F2P.

F2p's can buy FC points anytime. This sale is first only in the way that now FC giving bonus points to the purchase as well.

It's good for everybody with the +20% points on the 3600 version (that's the optimal choice, the +25% only worths it if someone needs that much points right now).

Subscribers can use the Store too, in fact before the f2p revamp I'm pretty sure most of purchases were made by subscribers since f2p'ers usually just left without buying anything. Extra space is a popular purchase, just as the additional character slots for an altoholic like myself. Some even collecting pets, I admit I never bought any of those

I just wish my TSW bonus points could also be spent on AoC. The best thing would be a unified Funcom account like a Sony Station pass, I´d probably even give Arachny Online a try as soon as they are releasing the engine revamp
