MMORPGs are suppose to be adult games not games made to be played by 8 yo kids. One of the many things wrong with MMOs today. Not because of content because there should be a IQ level to just be able to play a real MMORPG like the good old days when we had MMORPGs to play. Making games like we run our schools doesn't separate the advanced gamers from those who wish they could game, and yes MMOs use to be that separation.

the answer is very obvious sindce they had those adds there in the first place and where up until people started useing add blockers on them, which meant MMORPG was loseing money. so they brought them down.

and you all can say what you want im glad they are down cause i can browse through these foroums agian without my wife asking me why im looking at a henti sight, since she never dose more then glance at my com when im on it and when all ya do is glance those add more then made it look like a henti site.

F2P may be the way of the future, but ya know they dont make them like they used toimage

Also I think ads on men showing hair on thier navel and below is not even so common but yet in europe where I live breast get flashed on T.V. I just feel its a little unfair but not because I want to drool over them just that I would like to see more naked men on T.V. no that is not what I meant I mean that society has evolved to an extent that equal exposure to men and women were acceptable.

that is because it is not illegal to have bar chest on tv while it is illegal to show anything in lower regin, a basic guide line is if you could see pubic hair if it wasnt shaved then it is a no pass. at least over there, here in the states its a states by state basis but in most states even men can not shot thier chest bare in public.

Really now? What is it with most people these days and the "sexualization"  of women being equal to objectification? It's like us men railing against the chip'n'dale-type guys for being fap fantasies for some women. Get over yourselves, if you don't like the visuals in a game don't play it, crying about what you think is happening is like me reporting every 18+ year old chick I see on the street with enough clothing on to be legal but not enough to let anything to the imagination to the police for "objectifing" themselves.

The ads were eye-catching and that is all that needs to be said about them.  I bet it got some people to check out the game so the whole point of them was most likely met even if they might have been pulled prematurely.

Right now there is a Sevencore ad up on my screen here on MMORPG.com with a blond on a motorcycle (?) arching her back with her ass up oin the air and some decent cleavage that is cut off right where it would get more interesting.  I find nothing wrong with it at all :)

No they show women's backsides on T.V. ads here in Italy (but then we have a pedophile still trying to run for Prime Minister) so the below the waist thing is not followed if that is the reason. That is what I'm trying to say I wish we lived in an age where both sexes were equally exposed or unexposed. But I guess I am tilting at windmills because women and men react differently to visual nudity because of how we are brought up too. It's acceptable for men to stare at boobies but not for women to stare at crotches not that I want to just trying to talk about perception and acceptance.

I would be inclined to think it simply because the squeaking wheel gets the grease, instead of being a general concensus.

frankly, i didnt see anything adult about this game ^^

If you look at the ads, you will see that they are still running, just not the larger, more expensive ads.

I don't know where everyone else stands, but I thought it was ridiculous.  You can whine and point fingers about how I'm being sensitive and all that BS, but you'd be wrong.  I'm into weirder things than a lot of you and a bit of tits and ass do not shock me in the slightest.

Rather, it's the OVER-emphasis on the female form and the advertizing going way overboard in an attempt to get sex starved men to click on their link.  It would be one thing if it were on TV, and it was a realm woman, selling a real product.  But even TV doesn't go to the lengths that this game goes to.  You'll occasionally see David Beckham half naked as well, which is gross, but I am a straight guy.  I can see it go both ways, which makes a little sense.  However, this game makes an obvious attempt to make it go as far as they can towards the female focus.  They literally wrap the male avatars up in metal, where you can't even see their eyes.  Yet, the females are in some cases, not wearing anything at all.  They have breast sliders in character creation and the models were clearly designed to show 'bounciness' as they move about.

My objection with the ads has nothing to do with the ads, I've seen them before.  It's what is present in the game.  It's absolutely stupid.  Where are the dick sliders?  I don't see sliders for girth and length.  I don't see them flopping around while the characters move.  They went as far as covering everything up to the point where there is no skin showing.  No, I don't want to see dicks, but the point is, I don't really want to see tits and ass either in a video game.  I can go watch porno or have sex with my girlfriend if I was interested in tits and ass.

I've said this before.  This is where I have a little more respect for Age of Conan and Mortal Online.  Those titles pushed the edge, and while I don't play them now, I can see that they didn't shamelessly attempt to target 12 year olds and 40 year old virgins.

Tried the game, to generic for my taste.

My girlfriend tried the game, loves the anime, cutesy girl model and how its all fake women in the game. Can't get her to realize it is a bad game and she keeps playing cause she likes the character models.

    To each his own.

Gave it a go like I do with all mmo's. I'll have to admit it's not for prudes but it's definitely not really an adult mmo unless you're shocked by seeing someone take off their shirt. It reminded me of RF Online in some way. Played it with a female friend and she enjoyed it. The game definitely has a lot more than just a T&A feature which is just there for giggles and which I found not even mentioned or talked about by the community while i played. You'd be surprised how friendly the community was and while it did not make me stay, I enjoyed the few days I spent giving it a go.

The whole anti-boobies thing is all red herring.

I think making fun of this game and its marketing is something I'll always enjoy doing.  Joyously reveling in its excess of fan-service extreme...creepy old guys and teens fapping their way to glory. More power to 'em, I hope their feelings don't get too hurt when I point and laugh.

the reason i dont play these kind of games is because the character models are way too hot and distracting that i cant focus on actually playing the game anymore.

also this game has the best advertisements: "She has no safe word. Play Scarlet Blade." LMAO

Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)

well having this kind of thing in game makes people think its ok and totally normal, i said promoting as well by the way not that it is chil exploitation..

So you cant see an issue with a game allowing people to strip children down to their underwear ?

its just prue wrong, i have no issues with the adult female characters and so on I am 100% fine with that.. but bringing children characters into the game and donig the same thing with them is 100% wrong and should be banned.

Funny how people got all up in arms over the Scarlet Blade ads but nobody seems to notice the cleavage showing, ass up in the air motorcycle girl in the Sevencore spash ad. Sure she's got more clothes on but the sexual inuendo is every bit as strong. As for the ads they ended at the exact same time the game ended it's Closed Beta cycle and went down for like 12 hours. I think that had more to do with them disappearing than a few complaints on the forum.

You don't seem to know anything about the actual game. There are no male avatars in the game and there are no breast sliders. There are sometimes nude female avatars and they all have bodies with a high degree of curviness.

Society tries really hard to make us all feel awkward and uncomfortable with nudity and sexuality, when they are really natural, positive aspects of being human. At the same time, violence is glorified to extreme levels, even though violence is at best a neccassary evil when it comes to self defence of person, family or nation and at worst an expression of pure evil made manifest.

The game may be goofy and sophomoric, but IMO it's good to see the game break through the barrier that has thus far held that nudity and sensuality in games should remain taboo. Hopefully someday it will unexceptional in games and media. Our cultural attitudes towards sex, sensuality and nudity are not at all healthy and lead to a lot of problems that just wouldn't exist otherwise.

I am a female gamer and Scarlet Blade turned me off from the first time I saw it.   It has nothing to do with being 'too adult' and more to do with just being 'too creepy'.   What is the point of having all the toons half-naked females?  It's degrading, tbh.  Would people play it if all the characters were dressed like nuns?????  If you're a chick and you play this then shame on you.

Fine but why make ALL the  characters female??? Why not show dudes with their cojones hanging out?
