Camelot Unchained Kickstarter Email

Not huge news as we already know about this, but some may be interested all the same. This was emailed to me at 9:01 PM PDT:

Our Kickstarter Campaign Goes Live Soon!

Here is an official heads up that our Kickstarter campaign is starting soon!  It is almost midnight here so that means that we are launching in a mere twelve hours at 12:00pm EST (April 2nd). Get in early to take advantage of the limited tiers! 

As always, head on over to the Camelot Unchained website for more information on the Kickstarter and the game itself!

By the way guys, if you have not signed up for the newsletter and want 5 free Founder's Points, do it now! The offer ends when Kickstarter launches in less than 12 hours. Make sure you use the same email address as the one you intend to use for your game account and Kickstarter.

Edit: I believe the reference to "EST" is a typo and it should be "EDT" time. If it is not, then everything will happen one hour later than it should according to how our clocks are set now. Remember, we are now one hour ahead, so "Standard" time is one hour behind "Daylight" time.

In other words, if they really do mean "EST," then it will actually not launch until 1:00 PM EDT.

By the way, if anything you just read there confuses you, just ignore it. ;)

    Basically, yes. Each Kickstarter tier, except the cheapest, comes with 5 or more Founder's Points that can be exchanged for items in the Founder's Exchange.

    It is a shop that will sell items for people that have backed the game on kickstarter.

    Why does the email address for the newsletter and game account have to match the Kickstarter account email address? Was that documented or mentioned by CSE?

    They only mention that, because otherwise it would be hard to proof you were signed up for the newsletter already. If you use abc@gmail.com for the newsletter and asd@gmail.com for kickstarter, how should CSE be able to reward you with the additional 5 Founder's Points? There is no way, they could know you were signed up for the newsletter as "abc" and pledged for the kickstarter as "asd" :)

    I thought they removed this...?  You get 5 for March on Oz but not the newsletter anymore?

    Hoping I can use my amazon account for both pledges. My wife and I have different KS accounts, but I want to use the same amazon account. Will see how that goes.

    Otherwise I guess I am signing her up for amazon ;

     

    edit: A bit late now, but it would have been nice to see the KS launch on the MMORPG countdown above there too. Garriot can have his countdown back once it launches imo ;

    It is possible; I did not read that they had cancelled their plan to do this, but it is definitely possible some posts by Mark/CSE escaped me.
