Anyone playing Defiance able to inform what they think?

I am giving some contemplation in buying this game, but I have as of yet (I imagine its too early) seen anything solid on the review front. I am looking to find out whether it is worth taking the journey into the game, or if I should leave to the side and perhaps explore it again later.

I should say that I don't mind third person view with my shooter based games and I really love the Borderlands games. But, I am looking to make sure I just don't get fooled again by another bum game.

So, thoughts feelings would be wonderful x

Personally I think it's a lot of fun. Not too fond of Cass and her personality ( a little too crass), but the game is enjoyable and worth the cost of purchase easily. Plus, the show holds promise so I'm really interested in the tie in between the two. It's a third person shooter in a persistent world, but the chat system is a but FUBAR'd at the moment so it feels somewhat "lonely" even though there are lots of people around you.

I can tell there aren't enough GW2 players there though. You can revive allies that are down, but far too many seem to either not realize this or don't care and will let you "die". The community needs a little time to mature, that's all. Good game. Very good. No pay to win, nice mix of weapons and variability within the types.

    Oderint, dum metuant.

Same experience as above. Very good game, fun to play, but it seems people are just starting to figure out the whole open collaboration thing.

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

Well that pretty much sells it to me. After all if its no sub I just have to buy the game at worse I get a few hours fun out of it. I shall buy it for my friend and I and go from there.

Thank you for taking the time to post :)
