The game is basicly the same as every other game out there with a alterard targeting system other than that it offer nothing new and it seems to me people are desperatly looking for somthing new than the same game reskinned, so no it doesnt surprise me it didnt get more popular when it went F2P.
I'm not surprised it didn't become more popular here. MMORPG.com ppl only look at new game that aren't out yet because they're going to fix everything and first gen games because that was how games should be made. Everything that is actually launched in the last 8 or so years ppl just complain about.

i do beleave i have stated this in another thread but ill say it here to.
only game no my radar is World of darkness, other wise i have no intrest in anyy MMOs comeing out in the future other then a the ones my frineds are playing, i will still give most a try, but not expecting much.
right now the games im playing are all a few years old.
F2P may be the way of the future, but ya know they dont make them like they used to Proper Grammer & spelling are extra, corrections will be LOL at.
endgame is just too boring. it needs some rading and more pvp option. the alliance pvp, which is goin to be implented soon is a good move but they still need more stuff to do for the pve'ers. nexus is just not enough.

Agree with both.I gave the game a 2nd chance a month or so ago and the game just fizzled out for me as far as interest.
There's just so many ftp game's now,that i'm jumping around a lot anymore.The only game's I play somewhat consistently are Lotro,EQ2 and PoE.It is good to have so many choice's though.

Yeah, I got to 50 after F2P launch and honestly the combat is nothing special. I found GW2 and Neverwinter combat, and even traditional combat in games like Vanguard, EQ2 and Aion, far more interesting.
The graphics are pretty, and the races are nice, but I don't really have anything else nice to say about the game.
This game has so many flaws,i'm amazed that someone actually considering to pay to play it.Barely got to lvl 40,had stop,because it's just too repetitive and boring.
I was happy to try it out recently and was very impressed with its graphics; the combat, however, was not for me. That does not mean it was bad, I just did not enjoy it very much. It could be the class I tried, the Lancer, was just too slow, which makes sense as he is a bulky tank, but combat felt a bit clunky. It was pretty nice to be able to hit multiple enemies at once, though.

i also played it as f2p. nice game but thats all. in EU, gameforge sucks big time. no fixes, no events, no balances, not anything.
at least it has a real f2p model, but 1 month for me was more than enough.

Game now has 18 servers all with medium / high population. TERA is doing very well afther going F2P.

mediocre game, great f2p model. thats it for me. managed to reach 40 lvl and stopped.
btw maybe it has the worst AI of mobs i have ever seen in mmo's.
