WHAT No DUNGEONS

hey what do you guys think about dragons not being able to go into dungeons i thinks that is so dumb and its painfull that is where most of the action is at really come on why not dungeons for dragons besides there to big and there a dragon i remember in eq dungeons were the best where else can we go thats better come on give me some inside what do u guys think

I haven't played the game yet, so I don't think anyone would really know wha'ts better.. but I would bet that if a Dragon cant go into a dungeon, which I think is pretty realistic and a good idea.  That they would have another form of Dungeon hunting for a Dragon.  don't get too twisted over a game you haven't played yet man....

It's all new ideas, don't bash a company for having them or you'll have the SAME GAME over and over, and then you'll complain about them all copying each other.  Play the game before you criticize

dragons cant go in dungeons.......but dragons can fly.....therefore giving opportunites to dragons that the other races wont have........it works both ways.......use your noggin dude

Well it would be more realistic but in eq dungeons were the best i guess it would be hard to get rid of that and no i will not switch my race....just because of not being able to go in a dungeon and do any of you think a all dragon and half giant guild can kill a god?

I don't think we have to worry about that for the time being.  AE said they want to work on an enjoyable surface experince before moving onto dungeons.  That said, there are currently no dungeons in the game, and will be none at luanch.  However, there are spaces underground set up for dungeon creation once AE decides to implement them.

I'm guessing we'll have dungeons 3 or 4 months after launch.  Considering how much there is already to do above ground I don't think you'll miss them all that much, and when they are added it will just gives so much more to what we already have to do.

As far as I have heard you need to land to fight.  There is no flight attacks as it brings up a major problem with game play concept.  They might in the future allow for range/missle attacks that are non ground based.

btw, I'm guessing from past dev chat data.

Flyable creatures will have advantages on exploring floating locations and also can ploymorph to get into deeper parts of dungeons.

Maybe there will be attacks allowed to dragons that haven't yet meet their altitude leveling, example in the task off leering for flight.   Horizons wouold be going down a bad path if it had no flying attackable creature like the bad DAoC.

well it sounds like it's going to take player effort just to expand the known land. Since we have to build towns on the frontier and stuff. So it seems it'd be hard to go to many dungeons anyway if we have to discover them in the first place. Just like any realistic fantasy world. there aren't dungeons gallore, they are scattered around and hard to find and probably very tough. I personally like the above ground focus. I'd much rather have dungeons be exciting and special.

I also would much rather that they get the ground lvl stuff 100% than worry about dungeons and not get land 100%
