Arkfall Tips

brycegritbrycegrit Member Posts: 77

Arkfalls are great occasions to make scrip and pick up some cool weapons. I refraimed from making a video guide on this for awhile because i wanted to make sure i knew everything i could about the subject and could relate that with personal experince playing them. Hope this video helps a lot of new players. I threw in explanation's of  the different types of arkfalls,  hellbug and scrapper weakspots, along with a few of my own tips that work for me and my team mates.

Didn't watch the whole video but the reason so many kill the skitterlings is because of the persuit Trion inconveniently put in the game, where you need to kill 2500 enemies within major arkfalls. I don't know if the kills count before the big event but I suspect that's why people kill them along with general ignorance.

The skitterlings rock because they create two groups

    1) a group of players having fun killing countless mobs and collecting loot

    2) a pack of raging idiots that would rather throw endless tantrums on the forums about the 'noobs' killing the skitterlings than just explain to the 'noobs' that the skitterlings actually help the players destroy the core. The most they'll do is "STOP KILLING THE SKIT NOOBS" never explaining why and as such still coming across as raging idiots to the people happily bug squashing throughout the event.

Arkfalls are one of the most entertaining part of the game for me. :)

Good work on these videos, but I gotta say, that's a really counter-intuitive mechanic (the whole "don't kill the skitterlings" thing I mean).

That sounds pretty reasonable, except for the fact that your EGO reminds you every 10 seconds that "the skitterlings seem to bite the core, making it vulnerable" while the core grows a huge glowing wart begging to be shot at.

IMO, that is the most hilarious part about it all. :)

It adds another dimension to the scenario. The players are not the only ones at odds with creatures or things in the gmae world, and you'll often see the hellbugs or robots or 99ers add a bit more chaos to an already frenzied battle.
