    Sorry to break the dreams but WiS have been in coding and planning from 2006 official and been unofficial from 2004.
    Its now 2013.

    and they have shutdown the 3d avatar group according to ccp

    MMORPG trend that kills me is this idea that MMOrpgs need to be designed
    in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOrpgs.
    People that like single player game stay there

    3D avatar fluff should be added along, it should not be #1 priority when there's much more stuff currently in the main game that needs to be fixed.

    CCP looked at their sub figures and listend to their customers' complaints as there was a rage against Incarna taking too many resources above bugfixing.

    now if theyld only add a combat engine, you know, so that we could have combat in eve, instead of orbit at x meters and wait for something to happen.

     

    (think sto where you can line up your broadside or frontal assault with rapid fires overloads and high yields and actually kill an unsuspecting target)

    don't do the big alliance blobfets fights then.

    If you do solo or smaller fights you would know there's more then 'orbit at x meters and listen to the FC shouting commands and press F1 till someone blows up'.

    WIS was first announced back in 2006.    That was 7 years ago.    In 7 years we've seen the release of countless whole MMO's made and released.   Just how many years does a company need to implement something like avatar game play? 

    CCP will never get to that point  after some years you see the lies ..

     Who´s betting with me they will add it before Star Citizen comes out? Because SC has lots of avatar gameplay, stations, hangars and ship boarding FPS action. They really need to get their act together with WiS before this behemoth is released.

    They wont touch WIS again unless they find something really interesting to use it for, and even then it doubt they will dare touch it. There is currently zero development assigned to WIS.

    Never ever take anything they say at fanfest serious. It's the single most overhyped event. Nothing has ever materialized from these concepts or trailers.

    They have not finished one single expansion, they rather move on to the next and let the old stuff rot unfinished or buggy. If this would be any other type of game, players would be in extreme rage mode. Luckily EvE can get away with almost anything due to it's niche position and almost religious fan following.

    EvE veterans ignore it because they know it will never happen.

    Wow, I actually suggested this exact feature to them several years ago in a wormhole discussion thread......

    This would be awesome!.....but as others have said it would take CCP years to even be close to making it real.
