People who sub obviously like the game, so why so they keep moaning about it?
Because that is what people do? people feel they are entitled by paying 15 bucks a month.
Why do you keep thinking I want it shut down? I think you can see it shutting down, but deny it and pass the thought on to me
Nice try but anyone who has read your psot on these forums know that you are not happy that SWTOR is doing well.
I am not biased at all. Even Blind Freddy can see that SWTOR is doomed UNLESS BIOWARE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
No you are not biased at all.
Saying that SWTOR is fine and dandy WILL DO NOTHING AT ALL and kill the game for sure
I see now you are pretending as someone who actually cares for the game? is that what you are trying to tell us now?
I am going to snip rest of the post because i don't want to get into SWG debate here. But what you do is not what one would call an "effort to improve the game'. All you do is spread doom and gloom constantly and have given ZERO constructive feedback.
I never ever thought 'hey this guy really have some nice ideas to improve the game' or 'he really cares about SWTOR and want to see it improve' even once after reading your posts since SWTOR release.
Honestly, i just didn't roll out of the back of the truck so you are not fooling me here with 'i just want to see SWTOR become a better game' act.
I've given plenty of feedback, but then just get dumb responses "game is good as it is" or "it is not a sandbox" when other theme park games still get suggested features.
I also suggested at one time to at least be able to repeat some of the content.
It may not seem like I am being constructive because there are so many posts defending the game, and attacking me. On the SWTOR forums even looking at the negative posts, I could not see anybody defending the game as much as here
If they can make the game better than why not? But the bottom line is they are not. The NGE was crap, but that did not stand still, they added in tonnes of content after the NGE. If they did not I would not have played that either. If EA/BW was in charge with SWG, it would not have had Beast Master, no camps, no atmospheric flight, no chronicles, no heroics, no seasonal events, no GCW/GCW2, no Death Troopers theme park, no Meatlump theme park, but it would have gotten loads and loads and loads more TCG
Anyway I think you are just trolling me now to post more negativity on your behalf - you seem to be lovin' it
People like me and Whitebeards are not defending the game we are just calling you out on your motives behind your posts, doom and gloom bringer of death, you are blind to your own motives while others are seeing straight through them, you only have to look at your avatar to get a jist of them but its driven home once you start to read your overly negative posts.
None of my posts are negative, What I say is what it is of SWTOR
If I want my DVD player to play Blu Rays does that mean I am being negative of my DVD player? No. A DVD player can not play DVDs. A DVD player can never play Blu Rays. People like you accept the DVD player for what it is and do not want it to play Blu Ray. What I do then is go and buy a Blu Ray player which can then play Blu Rays
I go play STO and LOTRO instead which gives me what I want.
The difference though with SWTOR and a DVD player is that SWTOR is a MMO and can be enhanced and changed.
If SWTOR can be enhanced like any other MMO then great, but EA seems super reluctant in doing so.
Whatever you write is just your opinion, not what it is. Please stop thinking that your opinion is superior to others.
Sure it's his opinion .... shared by millions of other users. And while his opinion may not be superior it may be shared by a much higher percentage than those that oppose it.

The first line makes no sense.
The last one is pure opinion on your part, my guild which let me back in after I resubbed recently (mad I know) are enjoying the updates and new content, thats a guild that has 20+ players on at peak and over 250 players and alts in it. So who should EA go with the non playing and paying Ex-SWG vet who wants the game changed to his liking (SWG2) or the happy paying players in mine and many other guilds? I'll let you think about that one.

For every 4 or more people to play SWTOR, 1 will really like it (Over 75% of 2million people quit the game within the first year of a game supposedly to last at least 10 years)
My opinion is not unique, when will you accept the fact that SWTOR is crap? I accept that you like crap games
I accepted that SWG was crap to many other people and let them have their fun dissing it.
More made up data, how many people play TOR at the moment free and sub? come back to me when you know the cold hard truth and links to back it up.
How should I know? Ea are not straight with the numbers, but what I said is all viable with what they stated
The game launched with 2 million, with 1.7 million subs, then 1.3 million, then above 500K when F2P was announced, and who knows what it was like when F2P hit. I unsubbed when F2P hit, otherwise I may have stayed subbed (from time to time).
So that means there was less than 500K subs when F2P hit, especially if you think BW stated that they had more subs since F2P (how could they have more subs since F2P if they are now "just under 500K" If they had more than 500K subs at F2P then that means the subs have dropped), therefore SWTOR lost over 75% of players from Dec 2011 to Nov 2012. So not made up data at all.
Last month it was just under 500K which no doubt included my sub to get Makeb which is no longer valid (and I can say with complete confidence that others would have done the same too), and they said they had 1.7 million new accounts (which does not mean they are all playing it) This is what you asked me for but is irrelevant to what I posted which you claimed to be made up data to Sevenstar. You are the one making things up and twisting stuff

i play the SW;TOR most days, only for an hour or so, and during prime time at that, but on red eclipse and the progenitor at least, there are a lot of other players around, no idea what the ratio of paid to f2p players is, but compared to how the game was before they went F2P, it seems to be far more popular, which can only be a good thing, especially when you compare to other F2P games that don't have much in the way of a player population like STO, DCUO, and LOTRO etc, where your pretty much stuck with solo gameplay if your not anything close to max level.. so around 500k people are paying to play SW;TOR, which, while lower than EA had probably hoped for, is roughly in line with what a lot of us were saying pre-release, although i think the figures quoted were closer to 350k than 500k, even so, in the post WoW era, its not a bad figure, and with over 1m f2p players also, at least the population of the game is looking healthy. speaking of healthy populations though, Steamwheedle cartel and moonglade, empty.. practically.. looks like the rumours of WoW's imminent demise are starting to show a little substance..
Really there are about 5 guys on this site that need to step outside and get some fresh air. You look at their history and its the same crap over and over. SWTOR sucks, SWTOR failing the same talking points with new twist for the given week. These 5 have some sad pathetic lives if all they have is to bash a VIDEO GAME they don't play. The game has been out for over 1 1/2, its added a ton of content, added great features like achievements, and legacy. And according to EA the game is very healthy, for those who ACTUALLY PLAY it can agree tons of player, tons of action going on. I understand you 5 are experts and think different but you are pathetic, sad, and need a new life cause SWTOR is a VIDEO GAME that a lot of people enjoy, your whining and crying for over 1 1/2 now is not going to shut down the game.

You are still basing your "facts" on data you have no concrete evidence about, as you even say yourself EA are vague with numbers, you are guessing they didn't have x amount of subs at a certain time so its just as valid as me saying that subs have grown as I've counted 5k players on my server at peak, times that by 20 servers equals 100k concurrent players, times that by the common only 10% of playerbase play concurrently and you have 1 million players and that will be shown in this quarters accounts. See easy isn't it so stop quoting inconclusive data as fact and that millions back you up, it only makes you look like you have an agenda which quite honestly you have. Also your sub was replaced by me as I re-subbed about 3 weeks ago after letting my sub go last August 2012 and I can say with complete confidence that others have done the same.

Please stop thinking that your opinion is superior to others.

the numbers are there , 500k on your side
the rest of the World is on our side

You're stating the entire population of the world has played SWTOR and voiced an opinion about it? Millions, rest of the world... it's all made up bullshit to try and support an opinion. It's not my job to prove your claims, I just think it's funny how many people on this site confuse opinion with fact. 500k subs, plus the f2p players actually make SWTOR pretty successful regardless of how you feel about the game.
i play the SW;TOR most days, only for an hour or so, and during prime time at that, but on red eclipse and the progenitor at least, there are a lot of other players around, no idea what the ratio of paid to f2p players is, but compared to how the game was before they went F2P, it seems to be far more popular, which can only be a good thing, especially when you compare to other F2P games that don't have much in the way of a player population like STO, DCUO, and LOTRO etc, where your pretty much stuck with solo gameplay if your not anything close to max level.. so around 500k people are paying to play SW;TOR, which, while lower than EA had probably hoped for, is roughly in line with what a lot of us were saying pre-release, although i think the figures quoted were closer to 350k than 500k, even so, in the post WoW era, its not a bad figure, and with over 1m f2p players also, at least the population of the game is looking healthy. speaking of healthy populations though, Steamwheedle cartel and moonglade, empty.. practically.. looks like the rumours of WoW's imminent demise are starting to show a little substance..
All predictions come true as some point in time, just as a broken clock is correct twice a day.
People who sub obviously like the game, so why so they keep moaning about it?
Because that is what people do? people feel they are entitled by paying 15 bucks a month.

I'm very new to this site and rarely post, purposefully as I understand that it is a discussion of the merits or failures of games most of us play. However, almost every thread that has SWTOR in it, you appear with the same agenda ad infinitum. We get it, you hate the game, now move along and play the game you enjoy., please!
That is not true, if there is a decent thread about SWTOR I rarely post against SWTOR. eg I have not posted in the Road Map thread. What do you expect in this thread? I almost did a thread myself last week to say about all the negativity with 2.1 but Karteli beat me to it! If it was not for this thread these SWTOR forums would have been dead, as they were for a few days before it was posted.

It's not forum dweller's job to defend/promote any game. Perhaps what you think of lack of defending it just people seeing it's just another hater post then ignoring it.
Kyleran: "Now there's the real trick, learning to accept and enjoy a game for what
it offers rather than pass on what might be a great playing experience
because it lacks a few features you prefer."
John Henry Newman: "A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault."
FreddyNoNose: "A good game needs no defense; a bad game has no defense." "Easily digested content is just as easily forgotten."
LacedOpium: "So the question that begs to be asked is, if you are not interested in
the game mechanics that define the MMORPG genre, then why are you
playing an MMORPG?"

Let's face reality, for once. SWTOR is hilariously under performing for its monster budget and gigantic IP.
90% reduction of servers, good bye asia pacific servers too
If it wouldn't be for the Star Wars skin, almost no one would still play this title.
They probably have less or about the same number of subs (500K) as EVE Online, which is so joyfully called "niche title" by the mainstream MMO experts every now and then.
Sure there are people who still enjoy it, but I see no difference to the downfall of SWG, except SWG lasted much longer.
What else is left to say about SWTOR? Reality hits you hard, bro.

Underperforming and being profitable are two different things. No one I know thinks SWTOR has lived up to the hype at all, but most people who enjoy the game don't really care if it has the population of WoW or EVE. Keep bringing up the same tired talking points though, it's almost as entertaining as the people who still talk about how AoC was at launch instead of how the game actually is now.
SWtor is dead, SWtor is dead, SWtor is dead, er ah er ah, whats Swtor doin around here thought he was dead? er, ah, uh er, Were Dead, Were Dead, Were Dead.

Saying 500K is niche is saying every mmo not named WoW is niche.

This doom and gloom thread was brought to you by Chin Up the new ultra high caffeine soft drink for gamers who just need that boost of happiness after a long forum session.
So you've spoken to every single person who has ever played SWTOR, got their opinion and now have a spreadsheet or something that clearly show millions of people share superniceguys opinion, right?
Star Trek Online - Best Free MMORPG of 2012

You're stating the entire population of the world has played SWTOR and voiced an opinion about it? Millions, rest of the world... it's all made up bullshit to try and support an opinion. It's not my job to prove your claims, I just think it's funny how many people on this site confuse opinion with fact. 500k subs, plus the f2p players actually make SWTOR pretty successful regardless of how you feel about the game.
We must still pay for warzones or Bioware changed it?
i play the SW;TOR most days, only for an hour or so, and during prime time at that, but on red eclipse and the progenitor at least, there are a lot of other players around, no idea what the ratio of paid to f2p players is, but compared to how the game was before they went F2P, it seems to be far more popular, which can only be a good thing, especially when you compare to other F2P games that don't have much in the way of a player population like STO, DCUO, and LOTRO etc, where your pretty much stuck with solo gameplay if your not anything close to max level.. so around 500k people are paying to play SW;TOR, which, while lower than EA had probably hoped for, is roughly in line with what a lot of us were saying pre-release, although i think the figures quoted were closer to 350k than 500k, even so, in the post WoW era, its not a bad figure, and with over 1m f2p players also, at least the population of the game is looking healthy. speaking of healthy populations though, Steamwheedle cartel and moonglade, empty.. practically.. looks like the rumours of WoW's imminent demise are starting to show a little substance..
Take your spreadsheet of topics you copy/paste on every single SWTOR post and move on to a new game. Everyone knows who these sad pathetic losers are maybe a new game you can remain anonymous for a bit. How can this site remain creditble when they allow people like these 5 to continue to whine, cry, copy/paste the same crap on every single forum post about SWTOR.
This doom and gloom thread was brought to you by Chin Up the new ultra high caffeine soft drink for gamers who just need that boost of happiness after a long forum session.
They are just made because they dont have a game to play.
Are you an executive at EA? Maybe for once in your board posting life, you could speak for yourself and stop trying to represent others with your ideals pasted on for show.
All predictions come true as some point in time, just as a broken clock is correct twice a day.
Star Trek Online - Best Free MMORPG of 2012
It's not forum dweller's job to defend/promote any game. Perhaps what you think of lack of defending it just people seeing it's just another hater post then ignoring it.

This is so TRUE!!! Look at yours, Karteli, Simp and a few others history. You guys post the same stuff on every single SWTOR post. Copy/paste all day long, regurgitate each others sentences. When there are no active posts in the forum for SWTOR you guys search under the game list for SWTOR and post on something that has had no activity for days just to continue your weird awkward obsession with a VIDEO GAME!!.

Saying 500K is niche is saying every mmo not named WoW is niche.
Some of you guys crack me up.

Why is it that almost all hate thread's concerning Swtor have Karteli attached to them? It's just pathetic.
Some day I'm going to put a sword through your eye and out the back of your skull!

/signed. This has to be a record for signage over posters. Maybe this site can do what they did for SWG and make a separate sub forum for the butthurt crybabies who can't stop posting the same drivel. I suggest calling it "TOR P.U"
