Man of Steel....

After the movie ended and the credits went up, a rather apathetic meh came to mind.  I'm not quite sure what it is about the movie but it just did not resonate with me.  It was pretty and all but I somehow think it was meant for someone else.  Maybe it's the fact that I find Superman a somewhat boring super hero.

Anybody else see it?

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

I read a bunch of reviews on the movie, as I am a big fan of the Superman movies and they agree with you.

Superman was like a robot with little or no personality BUT, the action was stated as pretty wild

  • I thought it was pretty good. I think they had some good character-building scenes for Superman and thought the actor did a good job. My main complaint was the action got a bit monotonous in the later part of the film. I give it a 7 out of 10. It's a good superhero movie that stands above trash like Green Lantern, but doesn't reach the heights of Nolan's Batman movies.

I thought it was good...not very deep, but an enjoyable ride in he same way that avengers was...less humor, obviously, but still a fun flick

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

Yep, enjoyable ride was my personal impression.  The origin story was great, although even that could have been done better im my opinion.  More in depth analysys of what exactly went wrong.  i know it was exploitation of the planet but what happened exactly to all the outposts?

The rest of the movie was great although the end fight was prolonged.  I think they are always either too long or too short though, I can't get too down on it.

I actually felt it was a much better superman reboot movie then I imagined it could be. In fact I find it the best superman movie.

I sure love the Original movies, but this one goes well above it mainly due to tech being able to portait what couldn't really be done in the Original movies.

Also Man of Steel puts Superman Returns to shame.

    Just my opinion of course.

  • I agree it's the best Superman movie so far.

Its the best superman movie so far to me as Nolans Batman was the best of all batman movies.  I cant believe people complain about all the fighting and action in the second half of the movie, because i always complain theres not enough of that in most super hero movies.  The fighting was intense and i loved it like i was watching Dragonball z.  Faora was so awsome.
