Alternate Universe To EQ1&EQ2 - Realigning The Gods

So it's meant to be an alternate universe to the first two outing of this great IP, what does it all mean for us vets who worship certain gods.

 

Will the gods be realigned, will we see the return of the absent gods of EQ2?

 

Will Mithaniel Marr now be the god of cowards, no longer The Truthbringer or god of valor but a cheat  found in the sewers of Freeport feasting on the oze and decay of the dark.

 

How about Bertoxxulous The Plaguebringer, will he now be the god of good, piece and prosperity. No longer walking around with a hunch and a beautiful face attached to a rotting corpse but a knight in shinning armour.

 

Place your thoughts on realigned gods of Norrath.

 

Of course this is just a bit of fun to take a break from the endless EQN forum wars, perhaps you have always thought certain gods didn't quite fit your idea of what they should mean or be.

 

You might have a god that is now the god of flowers and green pastures.

I will still worship Tunare, regardless if she's good or evil. Even if there's no elves in EQNext, I will find a diety like Brell or Prexus to align with.

I'm thinking that EQNext is going to be a reboot. I think (HOPE) that what they do is start the game at the same point in Norrath's history as EQlive, with all the background/major lore in place, most of Norrath's races and cities close to what we know and love, and the landscape close to what was present in the original.

Basically, I really want it to be the same EQ, just with slightly updated lore, landscape, races and classes, and gameplay. If that's what we get, I couldn't be any happier. The lore of EQ is easily my favorite in any MMO, and it's so good they don't really need to mess with it, so lets hope they don't.
