I haven't seen a topic on this yet, but it would appear that Fred the creator of the web comic "Megatokyo" which is perhaps one of the very few Web Comics I still read to this day has opted, through Kickstarter, to make an actual VN version of his series.
Personally, I am actually quite excited about this and a little bit surprised that this hasn't received that much attention. I understand that for us in the 'west' Gal games are kinda niche, but I would of thought with the general success of Katawa Shoujo more people would be keen to get their hands on any new Gal games.
Perhaps it's just me and there's only a few like me out there. But, I really do love Gal games and I found Katawa Shoujo deeply moving and sad, which for a free downloadable game in my eyes is pretty impressive.
If you are a fan of Megatokyo, or perhaps once were for a spell of time the kickstarter page is at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fredrin/megatokyo-visual-novel-game if you would like to check it out. It appears it has been funded all ready, but it is still worth a look.

That's quite a bit of playable characters they are going to have. Have kind of peeked and glanced at the comics, but have yet to actually sit down and read it due to laziness.
Anyways looking forward to it.
