Here is an official server listing posted and these are CBT 3 Part 4's turnouts from beta testing.

 

Where do you guys plan to go for release?

 

They only take into effect last CBT phase and it only takes into account people that levelled past job level 5.

 

Sadly there are 11 NA servers and I only had 10 to put on the poll so if you will be rolling on Ultros please post that

Just wondering but can you give me the source for that population spreadsheet? I don't doubt it but I just want to see if it's a google doc somewhere that I can view live updates.

I'm still unsure what server to join. How can I find the best server for me? Is there one that is going to be more dedicated to west coasters? Should I just roll with a random one and see what happens? Unfortunately, I don't know anyone irl who is planning on playing.

Excalibur if you are PST time, and don't mind playing Legacy (you shouldn't especially with a niche time zone).

 

Ourselves, and several other PST groups are heading to excalibur after launch.

 

All servers will likely have PST players, however PST centered communities are still pretty rare I find (most groups still run events at 2pm-5pm our time to cater to early evening EST players first and foremost).  Not trying to derail anyone else's plans if you are going to another server for launch, but I know of several PST communities that are long standing who will be on Excalibur so if that is your goal it would be my recommendation (whether we personally play together or not).

OP you should really edit your post to show this as it is very misleading.

It's not misleading. This shows current statistics from CBT 3 P3. It shows the amount of legacy players or people that made accounts on legacy servers that were over level 5

All servers in 1.0 were international servers located in Japan, so the NA/EU population is spread out between them.  They are currently doing a world transfer and almost all English speaking players will move off of Japanese servers (and vice versa) so those numbers mean absolutely nothing.  As it stands. 

 

That makes it incredibly misleading for people looking at which server they should choose at launch.  Since those numbers will be turned on their heads once July 15th rolls around and the server transfers go through.

Any NA server pretty much, the majority of MMORPG players/communities in the US are located on the East Coast (though I'd love it if Excalibur were the exception and PST people sought it out as the "unofficial" PST server like Aegis was in 1.0).

 

If you mean server locations, the NA/EU data center is located in Montreal, Quebec.  Which is indeed on the East Coast.

No I didn't mean physical location. Some of the NA servers had PST as the local time above the mini map. I was just curious which had EST as the local time.

Are you sure that is not based off of your computer's settings?  I'll check tonight, but I was pretty sure that the "local time" was based off of your machine's settings.

i dont know, i have a character in balmung (from 1.0), leviathan and behemoth. No idea where ill be at launch. Probably adamantoise because i like that name, but i have no idea. Games with many servers give me a hard time.... i spend hours on google searching about the wow servers (pop, pop balance, etc) before i make a new character..... I know it will be the same with FF14.
