L4 Sandbox Game W/ Crafting, Community, Medevil Era

Hey everyone, I am having a tough time on trying to find exactly what I am looking for.  That is:

A game that is based in Medevil time era

Sandbox, in that you have the ability to create things and change the enviroment (poh would be cool).

A strong crafting system

Very active, and strong community

Longevity, or a timesink.  Something where I wont feel guilty about putting tons of hours in because it wont last long

Very good graphics would be prefered, just spent over a grand updating my desktop and would love to put it to work

 

I have looked at darkfall unholy and gw2.  I just cant seem to make up my mind on them.  So if you played them and think I would like it please let me know!

    I haven't played DFUW, but I have played a good amount of GW2 and well . . . to help you narrow your search by 50% I can tell you that GW2 is high fantasy and not medieval era. So DFUW for you?

    No game I know about at the moment but I did find this http://gloriavictisgame.com/ today so there's at least something for the future, potentially.

    Thank you for the response, that certainly helps out.  Wish they had a demo to play, but oh well!

    Thank you for the response, that looks awesome from what I could tell! Too bad its all the way in pre-alpha.  Certainly bookmarked it though.  Thanks!

    Well, GW 2 is not a sandbox game, so DF:UW is probably the game for you.

    Medevil China? Ming Dynasty? 

     

    Age of Wushu. It's the most developed (as far as systems) sandbox on the market outside of EVE, but Wushu has people instead of spaceships.

    yeah dfuw is the game for you takes a bit to get use to it

    but its the funnest game i have played in long time

    I would say Darkfall would be almost exactly what you are looking for. I just started and it really has an old school mmo feel. Things take time and there aren't a bunch of artificial feeling rules and restrictions. I'm a pve person primarily and I'm having fun getting my feet wet sneaking out of the safe zones to farm iron ore.

    The graphics aren't top notch but they are passable.

    Ill be joining a clan soon (when I hit 1k prowess) and that is when the game will really start.

    Played gw2, playing DF:UW atm. Defenetly try out DF.

    And yeah Gloria Victis in the future. I would suggest to join their community now at www.gloriavictisgame.com. great bunch of ppl already :)

    the game is not a 1-4 week get to max level.  it takes months even yrs. to get a lot of skills high.  but even as  a free player limited to 20 out of 99 skill levels.  you can make almost every thing in the game and have a ton of fun.

    monthly cost if you choose to prem is 8eu per month  $10.50us   and after one month of paying you can pay for monthly prem in game for 10 silver.  which you can make from other players. doing jobs. like mining. making planks, nails, bricks, ect..

    many of us play for free with in game money.

    the game is all about crafting. land terraforming, owning land. farming, mining though mountains. sailing.  you can hunt or get hunted if not careful.  can be hard to learn at first. but if you join a village and level up skills first before you adventure on your own. you'll do better.   Or adventure on your own and try to survive.

    huge good community too.
