I do want a fully realized world where possible. I would like to see towns and markets too, but they should be partially destroyed by debris and pock marked by bullet holes. Town halls should be in the game, but they should be partially destroyed by debris and pock marked by bullet holes. Let them serve as locations for NPC or player quest givers, or places to meet up with your mates for your objectives directed to you by your squad sergeant and from his company commander.
But purchasing goods and services from those locations is a [i]horrible[/i] idea to me per say. Buying Weapons is a horrible idea to implement (even imo as a convenience factor) if you're out in the middle of nowhere.
If we must have transactions as a money sink (if we even have money - I mean, Orks have Teef, but what about Space Marines? Do Eldar purchase their goods in a wartime setting? What if the Tau were introduced in an expansion, would our Fire Warriors need to pay for their Pulse Carbines or Rifles?) then let it be on our fleets in orbit or something. We're warriors first and foremost.
