Weapon skins

Does anyone know if the weapon skins ever change in the game? Such as deadpools katanas, do they ever look like katanas or do they always look like two pieces of metal with a fishing pole handle on them?

I don't play deadpool so i cannot speaks to his specifics.
But for the characters i have played, there is no separate weapon skin. You can change your costume, but that is about in terms of look.
I think there is also an option to add special effects your costume.
