I just cast my vote, after playing a few hours last weekend... I am not a big FPS fan, but nevertheless it was asuming and so i ended up with a solid 7
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

This right here I have to agree with.
That said, I also do not generally like or get enjoyment from FPS games, but I recently (like, 2 or 3 days ago) came back to Firefall to check out the changes. I'm very impressed, and also have a sensation similar to "ohhh! I GET IT NOW."
Hard to explain what changes specifically changed the feeling of the game for me, but in the end, it all made it come together for me a little more. I think I know how the dev team "wants" me as a player to approach their game. I think I understand what kind of mindset I'm expected to have, and it's not all that different from EVE in that respect.
.... so much potential, still. Yes, it's been a long time of people saying that, but, at least it's true. At least positive developmental changes come to fruition in this case.
Game is lackluster. Pretty much 2 hours worth of playing and you've done everything there is to do. Continuing to play after that is like watching paint dry. It's only even in open beta because their publisher needed to stop flushing money down the toilet while Red5 changed the entire game repeatedly to try to make something that was actually enjoyable. Good luck with those esports lol.
i was in early alpha and i have been testing it on and off throwing some ideas wich ofc have been ignored and tested it again month ago and these so called changes and rebuilding a game? what is this. game is still the same what i was from the beginning. and yea if you like endless thumping and some flying around with jet packs then go ahead but ....naaaaaa. unfortunately it " could " have been good.
Well, unfortunately I can't actually download this game because my internet is borked at the moment and breaks every so often, and Firefall's launcher doesn't support pausing of downloads, apparently, which is pretty crappy in 2013. 4 GB's, no less.
Which is a shame, I like MMOFPS.
Favorite MMO: Vanilla WoW Currently playing: GW2, EVE Excited for: Wildstar, maybe?
