I've been avidly seeking an MMO that has a good Healer/Buffer class where that is their sole purpose and I heard this game was the place to be for that mechanic. I downloaded last night and gonna give it a shot. Anything I should know about the game before giving it a go?
How do I find a guild?
How is PvP at end game?
Is the PvE easy to find a group? (I do need people to heal you know)

- Try global chat to find a guild. Sometimes they would advertise and sometimes you just have to make the initiative yourself.
- PvP should be improved now that they're added a new battleground. PvP server from what I've heard is just a gankfest.
- Find a lancer friend to do dungeons with. Lancer + healer = fast dungeon matchmaking.
Btw. in some dungeons healers have to do other stuff than just healing, but that's mid-end lvl dungeons. You have sleep which works on bosses (to disrupt their skill or stop them from running) and in some cases you need to use your dot skill (Priest) which has buff cleansing effect (Mystic has aoe buff cleanse).
Cheers.
We are going to have to act, if we want to live in a different world.
My advice is try out a few classes before you settle on one. Because of the action oriented combat, healing/buffing is very different than what you are used to in other games, so it might not be that good an idea to just jump into a class. As for races, well for the most part they are all the same, but some have advantages where others do not. For example, Baraka at their lowest have more stamina than other races, elves have a better mana resource, etc. There is no one perfect race for a class, so experiment with which ones you like.
As for your specific questions, I can't answer your first two, but the last one it varies on the location. It is much easier to get groups in areas with lots of BAMS, but not everyone speaks the same language on the server, so even if you see a lot of people gathered in oen area, getting a group might be harder than you think.
Since when is Tuesday a direction?
I'm strictly downloaded this for the Heal/Support class. I play Guild Wars 2 for PvP and DPS classes and I play Tribes Ascend for my FPS craving every once in a while. I'm not real interested in any other class besides support. For the past 2 years since I quit playing Knight Online I have been looking for a game that has a good Healer/Priest/Support/Buffing class which is their main focus. I just want to help others and get good at some PvP support.
I know for many gamers it seems boring, but there is the 3% of us MMO'ers who do thoroughly enjoy the Healing class.

Save up your money, either do nexus and buy agnitor set or just buy it from AH and masterwork it.
Get into a seemingly active guild early on to answer all your questions and help you with dungeon runs.
Don't bother doing dungeons more than once.
Don't waste time on BAM quests unless you got a group there to kill or someone to pwn it for you. Just not worth the time spent killing them when you'd level faster just skipping them and doing regular quests. Unless you want to do it for the challenge, but you get to a point where its no longer a challenge, its just a matter of time till you whittle down their hp.

Through the first 12 levels I have been having some good fun. I do really like the healing mechanic and I can see how it takes some skill to keep your bro's alive. Its not like other games where you click their name and press a button. This game is more about timing and accuracy of your clicks.
Gotta admit. Tera combat is pretty freaking sweet. This game might be a great find after all.
