Compared to EQ2 I like the graphics much better. The animations as well.
I think the stylized graphics will allow them to build a more interesting world. Its fantasy after all, why would I want it to look like RL? I can look out the window for that.
As far as the "cartoon" graphics style killing this game I just have to point to WoW. Its the most successful MMO in history and its graphics haven't seem to have hurt it one bit. Yes WoW is on the decline now but its for other reasons. The graphics style hasn't changed much since launch.

Yes, "Disney".... in other words cartoon style a la WoW graphics... is bad as far as I am concerned and feel.
Others see nothing wrong with it, some even like it.
I will never play EQNext with it graphics style as we have seen it so far, any more than I would play Wildstar or WoW.
I really can't understand why some here fail to understand our dislike of this style of character graphics... this issue has been a topic around here for years and should be old hat by now. I won't be playing and I see from other comments here others won't be either...
But SOE never wanted an old MMORPG Gamer like me to play their new game, no, they wanted the kids to buy it. I already knew that would be the case, so no insult there.

Guess you never liked games like badlands 2 either? Same style graphics and hardly made for kids
