Yes, I preordered. I played the beta and enjoyed it.
I'm not sure what EQNext has to do with anything. I have my eye on it as well (still undecided on how I feel about it), but that game won't be out for quite awhile.
I pre ordered it after phase 2 beta because I am a Final fantasy fan, and I don't have a current mmo that I'm playing. So why not. It's no genre changerbut its a solid effort even if it does lack flair.
I don't see this game going anywhere. It went the themepark route instead of sandbox so I cant support it. We need mmos to be more dynamic in a real living breathing world.
Pre-ordrered awhile ago, game is awesome and one of the few MMO coming out before 2014/winter. There's no reason to wait for the perfect game it will never come out. And you don't wait for things to come you take what you can or you make it yourself.
EQnext looks ok, the hype feels more like harrassment . but right now it's all talk and no trousers.
I bought 1.0 CE and subbed for a month, so no need for me to buy it, unless I want a new physical CE box. I don't know why people want this to be a sandbox. There's not a single Final Fantasy title in existence that's a sandbox of any sort. They never catered to it before, why should they now?
And imo, EQNext looks like garbage from what I've seen. Freemium minecraft 3.0, and I'm overly used to destructible environments, it was amazing when Red Faction came out, then doubly so when Bad Company 1&2 came out. Not so amazing anymore. I'll most likely try it out when it releases, but that's a long ways off. Sony can only milk the IP so much...
I have been in all but the first betas and I can say the game has improved many times over. There is just something about the direction the gameplay went that does not draw me in and compel me to play for a good length of time. I have 1.0 so I will use my free time when it launches and see if I can get into the game.

Those 2 MMO's yes, but I think you are forgeting one my friend... Wildstar! That's the one I'm looking for when It finally comes out, but meanwhile FFIV ARR is a great game to play! Played beta and It´s fantastic, so I´m gonna pre-order it. If Wildstar for some reason becomes somewhat a dissapointment, then I guess FFIV will be my home

I'm the same Wildstar means more to me than ESO or EQN. But, for me it's wildstar has to convince me since FFXIV already has :P.

Same, got into Phase 3 and once it was over I pre-ordered.
Think about it, nobody wants to die, there's rules to this game son, I'm justified.

I preordered, but whether or not I play past the first free month is still up in the air.
For $30 its worth supporting the Final Fantasy name imo since I've been a fan for a large chunk of my life.
Hopefully I can get more into the game than I did during the closed betas since I finally quit wow again and have no MMO to play right now
