    Dude, spoilers! I didn't know shrek was even in EQ next.

    If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.

    People said the same thing about WoW having cartoony graphics back in the early 2000s when it was announced. Turned out to be the biggest MMO in history. Funny how that turned out. People like different art styles. Honestly if you don't like the art style so much that you are going to shout at the top of your lungs "KIDDIE GAME" then you have some serious issues. Its like the guys who refuse to see a movie like Despicable Me because it has cartoon graphics. Its cool though, the rest of us who are comfortable with our sexuality and masculinity will be just fine being entertained by this kind of art style.

Blizzards first game trailer was ground breaking in the Industry at that time.And no one expected the game to live up to the trailers graphics because  game engines simply weren't available to the general public to support that level of graphics..now..they are. And taking 3 steps back graphics wise to justify blowing up trees and digging holes is unacceptable.

    Let me clear it up for you.

    I think Anime is for children.

    Is that true? Hell no. Is that a broad generalization based on my perception of what the art is? Absolutely.  Art styles are preferences. If you like a cartoony art style (Anime) but are an adult; there is nothing wrong with that. Does it mean that art style is for adults? No. Does it mean that art style is for children? No. That art style is for whoever likes it.
