Hey, I tried to read up on the different classes and jobs, but it didnt make me much smarter.
So I wanna be a 100% healing based character.
What class do I start out with, and what job should I choose ?
Comments
If you want direct heals then you'll want to start with Conjurer which can go White Mage at 30.
Or if you want a HoT healer go Arcanist which can go Scholar at 30.
Hi ya,
I believe you will want to be a White Mage :
----------------------
White mages are powerful casters whose talents enable them to fully restore the HP of all party members in a mere instant. Beyond healing, they can also apply their MP towards attack magic, granting them extremely powerful offensive abilities.Requirements:
Level 30 conjurer and level 15 gladiator.
As a conjurer, talk to Soileine of the Stillglade Fane (Conjurers' Guild), located in Gridania (2,1). Complete the job quest “Seeds of Initiative,” and receive the Soul of the White Mage.
----------------------
That was taken directly from the lodestone site : http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/pl/index.html
Classes and Jobs on the menu.
Hope this helps.
It's the class / job I am going for myself.
Jak.
no the requeriments for White mage probably changed , gladiator doesnt make sense anymore.
so for now level Conjurer to 30 and enjoy the game by the time u get to 30 u will know wich subclass u need for whm , probably arcanist or thaumaturge (the other 2 mage classes)
Lodestone information is generally out-of-date, secondary class may change.
I thought white mage got the hot and was the better tank healer and scholar was more group and support oriented.
With the way the class/job system is setup you could easily develop both and use whatever you liked or whatever was best for the situation and blend in cross class skills for extra oomph.
Premium MMORPGs do not feature built-in cheating via cash for gold pay 2 win. PLAY to win or don't play.
Considering you can only be one or the other at a time I'm not so sure how true this is. Especially since in larger parties/raids you'll probably have at least 1 of each.
