A StarCraft Universe project is currently running on Kickstarter. It will be an MMORPG created as a mod for StarCraft II, but will not require purchasing the game (it will be possible to playing using the free Starter Edition).
What do you think?

I think i want to see the contract Between the "developer" and blizzard.
As it stands it sounds like a risky investment because it could be prone to legal issues in the future...Its all well and good to hear these guys interpretation of that contract, But i think its only fair that people see the facts to make an informed decision.

I don't really have high hopes for it, but it may be worth giving it a try when it comes out. It's technically impressive that the engine is even capable of it (I've played some other mods which were similarly impressive; the bejeweled+RTS hybrid one is fairly novel.)

Blizz made good software. Look at DOTA .. it came out of the WC3 engine.
Having said that, i don't believe in KS. I will give this a try *if* it comes out and F2P.
It was already approved by Blizzard so there are no legal issues involved at all.

It's very impressive what they've done.
But come on, seeing this kickstarter is so weird. I see no good reason for supporting this, and it makes me kinda sad that it will probably easily be funded. More generic reskinned stuff zzzzz.
There is no reason (for me) to support ANY kickstarter. I am sure if they make a game, i will know about it and can try before i buy.
