I'm currently trying to download Tera and Swtor, and it is just a slow crawl on the download.
Tera is telling me 2 days 12 hours till it will be finished, SWTOR constantly stalls out around 50%.I have tried the TERA direct download and streaming from cloud, both say 2 days. It is peaking at 512k download. SWTOR goes at about 2/mbs till is hits 50% then also drops to 512k.
I tried everquest 2 the other day and it was flying just fine. I also downloaded rift a month ago with no issue.
So what is with the caps on some of these games?
Two days to download or a constantly stalled out patcher. I'm not going to bother. I don't want to play it two days from now.I have notice several of these games have switched to cloud seeding I guess you would call it or have incorporated streaming packages. SWTOR uses something called bitraider now , and I hate those things.I go to the bitraider site and it seems almost every MMO is being advertised as soon to be using bitraider. It seems to me though that this bitraider streaming is the culprit in the slow downloads, or services like that.
Am I totally wrong in this? Is anyone else seeing the same results? I really think I'll just cancel the downloads at this point. I don't want to wait 2 days to play an mmo when I've already got other f2ps on my system which downloaded without these hitches.
