Is there any information on the currency in this game?

I've a friend who is very excited about this game and asked me a few questions of it, yet I am unable to answer based on the information I know.

 

Does anyone know what the value of gold (assuming it is the currency) will be within game?  Will you be able to buy equipments and war plots and the like within it?  If so, since the game will have progression based items, will good gear be available in the auction house to those who pay for it with gold?  It seems like a simple "yes" to all of the above, but with the ability to buy gold using the C.R.E.D.D system I have found myself in need of asking questions rather than assuming the norm is correct in this situation.

 

If you have any addition information based on her following likes, I'd appreciate it as well.

She:

Enjoys "working" the auction houses within games

Accumulating vast fortunes in game

Role Playing

Housing (I know it's in and have a decent amount of information already, but more is welcome)

Enjoys little touches such as sitting in seats and laying in beds.

 

 

She also already disclosed that she is going to use a few thousand to buy all the gold she can in hopes to control the market and almost feels compelled to as someone who likes to play it.  While I'm likely to talk her out of most of the expenditure, will she have an advantage in game over others who do not do this?  Is this information known at this point in time (by non-beta testers)?

Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

    Quick answer for you...

    Platinum > Gold > Silver > Copper

    Base 100 system - 100 of any currency gives you the next coinage up. Old video but shows it well...

    As to warplots - information has been limited on them but there has been mention of "warcoins" as a separate currency (source) so Warplots will not be ruled by the rich.

    Bind on Pickup/Equip is included in the game (source) so I would expect that not everything can be purchased via the Auction House plus the crafting system has previously been stated as "required" to get some of the absolute Best in Slot items (if you like to roll that way) - other BiS will come from Dungeon/Raid/PvP drops.

    They will be using Space Bucks.
