FFXIV EU vs NA

in Final Fantasy XIV

I'm looking to buy a copy of FFXIV soon as I can find a key.... not available in the country I am atm.

 

However wondering if with a NA or a EU key can I play on the other side as well? EU players probably closer to my timezone (same timezone as Aussies) and no Aussie servers that I know of. But incase doesn't work like to be able to swap to NA servers also.

 

Also anyone where all the Aussies are hiding? Which version that is? Thanks.

    any key works with any server,

    i brought my copy in germany and i can play both EU and NA servers

    Thanks, any1 know where Aussies tend to hang out? They tend to be closer to my normal crowd and play time.

    I'm not sure exactly but let's hope you can get a few responses to help you, i'm sure tho you will find most play on the NA servers, well i do atleast :)

    Masamune. The Oceanic players choose Japanese servers. My char auto transferred here from 1.0. There's a lot of English speakers, and if ya go to the lodestones forums for our server you'll see that almost every English speaking FC is Oceanic.
