Despite player claims of darkfall being for 'hardcore' or 'skilled' players, it's anything but..
Even in DF1 players would use ANYTHING to get an advantage on the other players...hacks, exploits, dupes, you name it. The same in Mortal Online.
These games are magnets for trolls, and hacks/exploits will always be present, as well as claims that the playerbases here somehow represent the most 'hardcore'...

Sadly it turns into a vicious cycle of thinking they have to cheat to be competitive.
I know this thread is about cheating, but I couldn't stop noticing how horrible the riding animation was. He looked like he was constantly going to puke the whole time. Even the other animations were either really bad or simply not there. People gliding everywhere in a standing position, etc.. Why are people playing a game that poorly made?
Nvm, arguing with someone who has an agenda is pointless.
Everyone else reading this thread, the hacks are blown way out of proportion anyways. More people RTM than hack and the few people that are suspected of hacking are more often than not really good players and people just can't handle losing to them all the time. The same people accused of hacking by the community are the same people told to stop playing together because they win to much and they have all the good players. If you played GW2 while the titan alliance existed its the same issue. People just can't handle losing and look for any reason why they are losing to complain about.

Many people can overlook those things IF the gameplay is good enough, sadly it's not.

Agenda being posting factual information.
For instance you have NO IDEA who is or isn't hacking. If you're smart about it, there's little to no chance you'll ever be discovered.
All these tab Target based games have hacks games like darkfall don't have. Especially common are those to queue up attacks so they all fire on the same global cooldown for an unhealable 1 shot spike of damage.
Real time games are no more inherently prone to hacks than are tab target games.

"queue up attacks so they all fire on the same global cooldown" can happen in either tab target or free aim games.

By definition real time games don't have a gcd to hack.
How is a global cooldown tied to what targeting system you have? aim vs tab target?
A global cooldown just deactivates a specificed set of skills for a certain time period after pressing a skill that has nothing to do with whether a game uses tab target or free aim.
Take WoW Mage for example. There are some skills that dont activate the global cooldown, there are some that do. If a global cooldown was a technical limitation for tab target game, all mage skills would set off the global cooldown. They dont.
I don't even play darkfall, just keep hearing this "aimbots and hacks" rampant in the mmo I do play. But half of it is noobs thinking they've Been aimbotted because the other guy knows the landscape better than them and has more practice with the weapons and their drop off / recoil.
The most hacking I've encountered in a mmo was when I pvped in wow, with the aforementioned queue everything up hack.

Oh,
I have no idea how the hacking situation is in darkfall, I don't even play the game. Was just browsing the forum and saw your post and wanted the separate the notion that a GCD is tied to tab targeting.
Very interesting bit about that WoW hack. If there were hacks in wow that would queue up all skills and fire them at once that means they were able to write something that would bypass the GCD and casting time as you cant cast a pyroblast and icebolt at once an nor can you fire them at the same time either. Kinda scary how advanced the hackers are getting these days.
HOLY CRAP THERE'S ACTUALLY PEOPLE HACKING IN A COMPUTER GAME?!?!?!?! Why isn't this all over the news? Oh yeah cause it basically happens in every single PC game ever made and devs deal with it however they deal with it. It will always be a problem and will never be 100% eliminated. This isn't even worth the discussion. Less QQ. More pewpew. Especially since in the majority of hacking claims I hear it's "I got beat by a better player and my ego can't handle the wound of not being as good as someone else at videogames."

Yeah this basically. I love how somebody gets evidence (not even proof) that a hack of some sort exists in this game and they think that completely validates all hacking accusations. It doesn't. It means that some kind of hacks/aimbots exist and that at least a few people use them. That's all.

Well since no one can say how many people actually are hacking, then I think anybody saying its a few or most is clearly biased and loses credibility, like yourself.

Actually I said at least a few people.... did you just misread or something? I'm not claiming to know exactly how many people are hacking, but I am saying that people who claim that it's a significant number often aren't credible. People complain about hacking all the time. It's the boy who cried wolf.
Well 7 people spotted a "hacker" in planetside 2 the other night.
I was on a light assault, but for giggles I played it like a sniper, using a longish range scope 8x, a flash suppressor and jetpacking to the top of a tree while wearing green cammo.
Had lots of tells going "dirty hacker, lights can't shoot that far, you've hacked in an infiltrators gun", "didn't see you, you're using an invisibility hack", "your using an aimbot, how else do you have that ls ratio", "your using a wall hack" etc..

Gee, that's reassuring.
Where have all the "good" shills gone?

Where have all the "good" shills gone?
Hard to detect cheats when they bypass the client and hook into the graphic card information...
Games:
Currently playing:Nothing
Will play: Darkfall: Unholy Wars
Past games:
Guild Wars 2 - Xpiher Duminous
Xpiher's GW2
GW 1 - Xpiher Duminous
Darkfall - Xpiher Duminous (NA) retired
AoC - Xpiher (Tyranny) retired
Warhammer - Xpiher
You're misinformed,, most of the hack package uses the client.
Where have all the "good" shills gone?
If you are talking about DC, no it doesn't.

You have no idea what you're talking about, of course these cheats interact with the client.

The ones people complain about that aren't getting banned do not. They pull that data once its loaded into the GPU

Wrong...most of the package has nothing to do with rendering. So now its only specific aspects of the package! Lol keep on grasping
