As most people are aware the EU server is been monitored by a third party called ProSieben.I don't have much knowledge of this company, I took some time though to look at their Everquest 2 forums and I'm not impressed. SoE has made a terrible mistake by splitting the US and EU players, I'm concerned that we won't get equal amount of updates and content, the EU website for Everquest next looks terrible and I'm worried about how that game will be monitored.
I've found a website with a petition, I don't think its right for SoE to split the playerbase it doesn't end well usually. We've seen what happened to Aion and TERA EU servers. If you're interested in taking a look at the petition then click here to look.
I would be interested to know what you think of it, is it a good move or bad?

EQ2 fan sites
Biggest problem I have with this, aside from the bad name Prosieben have is that I have a stack of station cash on my soe account from playing eq and eq2 for 7 odd years. Now after all those years service they are telling me I cant beta test eq next with my SoE account and will, presumably have no access to my station cash when the game launches and I am forced to use Prosieben.
In addition by being forced to create a Prosieben account I lose all my veteren privaliges tied to my SoE account...
My gut reaction to this is to walk away from SoE forever, if they don't value my custom then I have no time for them.
I had a laugh to myself when they showcased the game and one dev quoted 'denial of service' when talking about stumbling about in the dark a la eq1. Well, I knew all about 'denial of service' when I tried to sign up to the beta.
I never played EQ2 but I can comment on Pro7.
The company is horrible: they don't fix games - they simply let them run with major bugs until the population drops and then the game gets shut down.
Come on Baby, Fantasy Tennis and various RPGs whose names I don't remember anymore, were already trashed by them.
The European version of Super Hero Squad had a bug where everything you said was shown 4 times. With a chat with only a few lines in the chat window (can't be extended) this was quite annoying. They >fixed< this by disabling the whole chat. We waited 4 months while being unable to talk, for them to fix this and then they suddenly announced they will take the game offline.
The one game still going strong is the social dancing game Audition and that one suffers heavily from hacking attacks.
There are two Turkish script kiddies who used to crash chars through packet injection 2 years ago. The GMs kept telling us to give them some time to fix it. Nowadays the "hackers" are crashing the whole server. When you try to log in you have a 50:50 chance whether the server is even online because of this.
Those two script kiddies who like to justify their deeds with racial slurs ("We Turks are so much better than you Germans and have every right to do whatever we want.") are well known among the community but they never got a permanent ban.
This is Pro7 for you.
I know the feeling, I had 12k+ cash on my account now I have 9k. I would have to sign up to gold member ship in order to gift items to my Pro7 account. I have Pro7 for the EQN too, and I think its ridiculous that we are treated in this way. I gotten in touch with a Senior SoE employee and I will pass on this points before I'm done. I have linked a website in my previous post on this thread which is used a lot to petition, it's safe but requires a log in. Hopefully in time once it reaches the goal it'll make our views known to SoE, although I'm sure they already aware of it. I will ask though if we can play on european servers with our SoE accounts on EQN.
Edit: Also the Pro7 EQ2 launcher download speed is really slow and is required in order to play on the pro7 account, I have two everquest 2 games one for SoE account and the other for Pro7 because neither would work with eachother which also sucks. My SOE account is 5 years old.
