Seeing how much hate it gets here, it seems nothing like that to me. I was not there at launch but now the game looks extremely well and is thriving well too. One of the few games where no matter where i level i tend to find people.
I play War of the Immortals. I can't quit the game because i have a lot of friends. Every Saturday we have Territory war and Sunday is our Battle Royal. I did not purchase a gear in this game for real money. I only trying playing this game before and i get a lot of friends, until i achieve max level. Just doing daily event , i get a free items and boss hunt give me a lucky drop. What makes me did not quit this game? Is the daily rewards, level rewards and every 2 or 3 months we have expansion in this game. We have expansion reward and this is the most expensive item they give you every expansion. If you purchase a gear for real money in this game, if you quit and you come back for a month you can't win on pvp because of daily, level and expansion rewards. If you are the strongest person in this game you have statue in hero plaza. This game is look like Diablo 3 but not the same. I quit D3 and come back to play War of Immortals.
TERA, the best free to play game on the market. Open World PVP, Political system, beautiful graphics, great combat, unique classes and an open world with no loading. Game has gotten 3 major updates in the last 3 months and more to come. People don't like the quest system but its the same as every other quest themepark out there. I know because I have played them all. En Masse is the best company ever.

That's one of those 'onion' MMOs - layers and layers of gameplay. I need to reinstall that and check it out again.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
Dead Frontier...It is browser based (which isn't itself a sin but it is semi-page based, and though the actual play takes place in a 3D game screen, you have to work around a fixed view). It is redundant, to the ends that you will find yourself asking why a lot. it is hard to stay alive, it's hard to even stay healthy. And, it is grindy as hell, as well as rather difficult to progress in general without micro transactions.
But, I can't stop going back to it. Maybe it is because, I can see it as having potential (in concept at least). But, I think I keep quitting when I am reminded that it will not reach it's potential or do so within any reasonable amount of time.
I'm currently not playing any MMO's, which is a first for me since the early 2000's. I'm currently playing GTA5 and Skyrim (which is a single player MMO). I think my last hope to continue with MMO's is TESO. If that doesn't do it for me then I'm more than likely done with them.
Underrated by which standards? I'm playing Everquest. I started playing again 3 months ago after being away for like 11 years, lol. I like many of the changes and it's been really great going back to some of the places I used to spend lots of time in. And even more fun exploring all the areas that I was unable to back in the day. So many new zones to explore. I like that the game has a smaller community also. I've only ran into a couple jerks in the time I've been back.

That's the first time I see that kind of comparison being made, not strictly to Mabinogi, but MMOs to Onions. It's an interesting way to look at it.
It's definitely a nice game (I guess I'm a little bias aren't I?), albeit a bit too cash shop heavy to my liking. Been playing on and off for 4 years though, so it bothers me less to spend a little on the game.

If you have to point out overrated features (political system), a feature which almost every game has and TERA doesnt really stand out in (open world PvP), and use a completely ridiculous statement (questing in other theme parks is just as awful as TERA) to sell a game then the game isn't underrated.

Look at this silly reply. Is this what people do now when they see a person enjoying a game that they don't? The OP ask a pretty good question and we have gotten some nice replies but there always seem to be the hater that cant stand to see a person enjoying a game when they are not. Sucks to be you.

Actually yes...this is pretty much what this site has become. A small group of the very vocal mmo minority who believe saying it on the forums makes it true. It's why they can talk about what the market needs but never find it.

Age of Wushu. Underrated and so far undefeated.
I had no intention to still be playing Wushu 10 months later.

You can't defeat something that nobody cares enough about to defeat.
