Trying to find a similar game!

So, I have a feeling that I won't find a game that is anywhere close to being as similar to this one.  Let me begin with the fact that I have been into MMOs since I started with Runescape back in 07'. In the last year or two, I started playing on BYOND, and just recently started to play around with one of the most popular games on there, Space Station 13. 

What I really am looking for is a game that is similar to Space Station 13. I loved how you picked a role to play, like Chemist, Botanist, or even a simple Chef. I wanna find a game that is like that, where you choose a role like that and stick to your role. You choose to be a Geneticist, you research genetics. That's what I liked about it. But, I really wanna get out of BYOND, cause that seems to be where I spend a lot of my time when it comes to when I get bored. 

I know it's a hard thing to find, cause it's very specific.
