Hi,
The staff of MMORPG.com have invited us to do an AMA for Marvel Heroes.
I work at Gazillion on the game.
My background is heavily in gaming. I've worked in various roles at Wizards of the Coast (Magic: The Gathering, D&D, many other games), Upper Deck (Marvel Vs. System, WOW Trading Card Game, many other games), Blizzard (SC2, WOW, unannounced games) and some unannounced stuff.
I've played almost everything and am a die-hard fan of shooters, ARPGS, RPGs, MMOs and indy games.
Ask me whatever you want, I will try to answer everything.

For clarity purposes can you give us the upcoming hero release schedule as much as allowed.
Also, could you clarify when approximately when Squirrel Girl will hit test, and live.
Thanks.
I can't say too much, but Gambit is coming after Squirrel Girl. Squirrel Girl will be in test center within 2 weeks and live once we are happy with her power level and fluidity.
Maybe I'll hop on after I'm done!
Gambit is in full design process right now. He is very much a well-designed Hybrid hero. He has a fun ability called "52-card pickup" that basically kills everything on screen. He also has some very well-animated combat animations and combat systems. Other power names in development 5 feet away from me: Cheat Death, Rain of Pain. He has a Vagabond skill tree with some unique powers, including a power called "Sticky Fingers" that gives him a unique bonus to find orbs, credits and special items.
We have a raid coming with one of our Asgard patches. We'll do a preview of it in 6 weeks or so.
Gear progression has many plans. We are adding several new slots for items such as Legendary, Stark-Tech and a few unannounced stuff in progress. We have cosmic Medallions going in soon for bosses. Get your Cosmic Taskmaster medallion and just do whatever you please.
In November, we are improving the slots to allow you to select a pet to use and a costume to use, from anything in your stash.
Crafting also has a long list of recipes and new "types" of things to be added over the next few big patches. You will definitely be happy you leveled your crafter to 20.
We are adjusting and reworking almost all heroes as an ongoing process. Spider-Man is just about done. We are looking at making some heroes more fun (and powerful while we're at it) such as Colossus, Captain America, Daredevil and Hawkeye.
We also have a lot of new guns coming for Punisher and he'll get some tweaks while we're at it.
We are working on a few enhancements for terminals, including:
- A new WIlson Fisk terminal.
- Randomized terminals with terminal-wide affixes on difficulty and loot.
- A completely redesigned Limbo terminals for 5 players that acts as a neverending dungeon descending into the planes.
We've actually done some work on X-23 (prelaunch), but she has a list of heroes that will be released before her.
However, we won't waste the work we've done with her, so she will eventually be released and be deadly.
Enchanting is something that is being added to the game. We just added Legendary enchantments for your artifacts (called Blessings and based on Asgardian lore).
We intend to make unique enchantments for all your item slots, some easy to get and some more challenging based on power.
In addition the X-Defense, which will continue to be tested and buffed as it leave Beta, we have a very unique competitive PVE mode in development and a PVP Escort mode almost ready for launch.
Would you ever be interested in setting up a weekly guest spot on a stream to talk about what is coming and field questions?
Is controller support something that you guys are going to work on for the future? Marvel Heroes is one of the few games that i play regularly that forces me to use the old mouse / keyboard combination and i would love to sit on my couch and play this awesome game.
Are you guys excited about the Steam controller that Valve announced?
How much of your schedule is dictated by Marvel? Are you being rushed to have tie-in content to coincide with the movie releases or are they pretty relaxed about schedules?
Thank you for making a great game and for your time!
Randomized terminals may have things like:
All enemies are fire enchanted, but give 20% more special items.
or
All enemies are invisible, but all drop an extra purple item.
You can reroll the affixes until you get a challenge you think is "worth it".

There will be a very fiery encounter sometime this fall.
I would like to allow for user-made apps, I will talk to engineering about that.
We have internal damage counters working, but it may be awhile before launch since it requires a lot of UI work.
Yes, I would do this.
Could I play while doing it?
We will be adding more things to gear vendors to reward players who level them. They will likely be things you can only buy from them, including some stuff that resembles the gambling mechanic from D2.
You will definitely be able to play, may we join you? It would be great! Our host could ask the questions from chat and you wouldn't have to type.
Daredevil, Colossus, and Captain America are my favorite comic book heroes. How soon are changes coming to those characters to improve their gameplay?
What's the best way players can provide input and contribute to making a playable character better? Posting comic book reference material? Suggesting powers that should be borrowed from other characters?
Our schedule is pretty much our own, but we do work extremely closely with Marvel for everything in the game. We have been working with Thor movie stuff for several months and we tend to work hand in hand with Marvel on movie-based stuff.
We have talked about controller support and I'll see what the status is - I know it's not coming for next patch.
Thank you sir!
